I have an open pet peave against the focus on fear and why other people fail or don't even bother trying to have better lives ..

If you look at society and how we are trained and taught from birth.. even just by observation.. much of that training is very limiting.

from a very early age we are taught to use language.. but we are taught by people generally who use what they say to limit themselves ..by the age of ten or twelve most of us have been taught not to use our imaginations and get chastised for dreaming to much. and by that age we have had very negative self images pounded into us by authority figures ..from there we get taught to suppress or discount our feelings.. told that how we feel is related to what happens to us ..and we need to have certain things happen to feel good..and that it is our place to suffer..

If you want to make your life better .. you have to listen to the word you use and understand the effects they have on your life.. what you really believe usually shows up after the but ..

those people who read this have to at least write their words or put what they are thinking down in writeing on a regular basis ..if you want to change your life figure out what you want .. write it down.. then write down the buts that keep you from taking action ..

the buts are what will tell you what you really believe about yourself right now ..

example.

I want to lose weight and get in better shape ..
but to lose weight i can't eat food i like.
but to get in better shape i have to do excersize that i am just not willing to do .
or but my back hurts and i can't do most workout and my knees are torn up so i can't run ..
but i can't make healthy food because it is so expensive to by and make it myself .

the buts can go on forever ..

to restart it .. if you get a long list of but ..you need to shorten it..

I want to lose weight and get in better shape.. but it is really not that important for me to do .. right now ..

so then you can ask yourself.. so why do i chose to be fat and unhealthy .

now if you ever have the courage to ask and answer why you are chosing to stay in a bad situation.. and you get past the point of blameing everyone else or every thing else.. and eccept that it is a choice you make every day ..

listen to what you have to tell yourself and weather or not you want to listen to your line of bull ..

most people are how they are because they are still giving their poweer to the fisrt grade teach who told them they would never go anywhere because they where slow learning punctuation ..

the words you use in many cases are not even your words .. they are words of somone else you are just repeating ..

because the real you wants you to grow succeed and be happy ..and it will no longer settle for letting you suffer and be unhappy ..

but i ramble and this post is a bit scrambled.. i hope yo can get some meaning from it

    Thanks for rambling. Great ideas. I personally challenge people when I hear them use the word, "need." Do you really need to get another 50 Twitter followers? Do you really need to call your mother? If I replace the word "need" with the word "want to" I become empowered, not a slave to my mental taskmaster.

    Most of what we are taught limits us that right. We are limited by other peoples experiences. We have to live and experience our own limitations to find ways of overcoming them. Unfortunately we get to do that rather late in life
