Simple Breathing Visualization Technique for Insights, Clarity & doing more in less time...

Hi,

After reading a few threads here, I thought I'd share with everyone one of the many "exercises" or techniques I use.

I call it the 10-Minute Clarity Session. It can be used as a directive for problem solving or simply calming, relaxing and de-stressing. You can do it anywhere, anytime. For example, if you're nervous about a meeting in 20 minutes with a client, do this 10-minute session immediately before the meeting. When I was in B2B selling, I would sometimes arrive in the building 1/2 hour before my meeting and go in the restroom that's not on the floor where my meeting was scheduled and do this 10-Minute Clarity Session. It worked like a charm and eventually I didn't need the sessions before my presentations or meetings.

Here it is...

1. sit with back straight, feet flat on floor/ground shoulder length apart, hands resting in your lap.

2. close your eyes. take a couple deep breaths.

3. ---optional directive--- say out loud or internally, "During this session, I direct my subconscious mind and higher self to [solve some problem] to the highest good of everyone involved and provide my conscious mind with the answers after the session. Thank you and I release this problem to you."

4. simultaneously, do the following three things: a). mouth and eyes closed, b). visualize the great white Divine Light entering the top of your head and filling your whole body while inhaling deeply through your nose and filling your entire chest and stomach with air and c). internally/externally saying, "with each inhale I accept only positive energy and I am more calm, relaxed and focused."

5. Hold your breath for five seconds (count one thousand one, one thousand two, one thousand three, one thousand four, one thousand five).

6. simultaneously, do the following: a). slowly exhale through your mouth over a five-second period while b). visualizing a stream of black-colored energy exiting your mouth like blowing out a candle, and c). internally/externally saying, "with each exhale I release all negative energy in me, around me and attached to me. And this is so."

7. repeat 4 - 6 five times.

8. simultaneously snap your finger or clap (want semi-loud noise) while saying, "I'm back. Fully alert and ready to go!"

For anyone who has had trouble thinking too much while trying to meditate, this will solve that issue. It may take a little practice, but this does wonders for all aspects of your life. You can use it to solve problems, generate ideas, anything. Your limit is your imagination.

Enjoy!

Nice tip MrSonic! I'll try this one because I'm having hard time meditating. This might help. Thanks

Alternatively, for those who are more religious, they can substitute Divine Spirit or Holy Spirit for subconscious.

This is an interesting exercise. I do things a bit differently to destress and gain clarity, but I'll put this to good use. I get a hunch it will work wonders for me

My only 'problem' is learning how to do it properly, especially since I would have to have my eyes closed while making those statements lol

    Thanks for sharing!

Edit: I decided to not follow through on this. It's a bit complicated trying to state something while breathing and visualizing. I suppose it requires some practice, but I'm no longer interested.

However, it did give me some ideas for something similar, for which I'm grateful
