How often do you OFFER to HELP??

Do you remember when was the last time you offered a helping hand to others? In fact, we do not offer help unless asked.

Anyway, I want to share the quote below, it is also one of my favourite quote.

"The first to help you up are the ones who know how it feels to fall down"

#offer

Hey, thanks for this thread! I think the issue of helping out others is a very important theme in the world of IM. I recently started out in this field and must say I find the help of others very inspiring. Can't think of any work field where people are so forthcoming as in IM.

I'm not sure whether or not karma is real, but I do know that it's an enriching experience when you're able to help someone out. And yeah, knowing what it's like to be in need of help definitely makes it easier/more rewarding to help out those in need.

Yes I can remember because I like to do that whenever I feel that someone needs help. I do that in the belief that, If I help them in their problems, they will also come up when I need the help. Thanks for sharing, the picture you shared is a nice one.

As Maskmirror mentioned, helping other is enriching and that reminds me of this video:

Apparently, it is possible for money to 'buy' happiness, which is about buying things for others.

And I do believe that genuinely helping others gives us a similar feeling of happiness

I also feel that helping others is a great thing for me, personally.

I have gotten into the habit of helping others on a daily basis. Sometimes all another person needs is encouragement. sometimes all they need is to be thanked.

I have helped lots of people over the years. It gives you a great feeling to be able to do so, regardless of how small or big the help is. It may be as simple as installing a pc mouse for someone but if they don't know how to do it, it is a BIG help to them.
We all have skills and if we share them, the world would be a better place.

You are really awesome.. It doesn't matter how do you help.. The most important is you are willing to help

Nice quote! However a helping hand always needs a hand that got will to accept the help. In most cased it´s not the case or you help someone and you get f**ked up by this person afterwards.

I generally like to help people regardless. It's a good feeling to be able to help others in need and it feels even better when they show appreciation towards you in return.

The only downside to helping others is some of them tends to take advantage of your kindness and takes it for granted. I've been in situation where if I know that they're taking advantage of me and decide not to help them anymore, some would either try to guilt you into doing it or just overall call you a b**** (sad but true). But those people are not worth my time and since there are many others that do appreciate what you're doing for them.

I believe that if you can make money doing what you love, and in the process help others to achieve what they desire. You are on to a winner. It is important to do good and if you can provide a helping hand to someone, you will receive it back in folds. Great post.
