Definitely. At least, calculated risks. I know some people (myself) included, let their egos take control of them and sometimes go overboard with the 'risks' they take, rationalizing stupid decisions as an empowering risk.

We need to take chances out there, to find out what is good for us, what works best for us, etc.

Yes limited risk can polish your skills, i take all those risks which involves, money, time etc, but playing with life is not a risk, that is foolishness, so i never thought to do it... In that case i loved to live on safe side, in business i heard, as much risk you take, chances of profit ratio are that much high, so i take risk in business sometimes....

I used to avoid taking risks for fear of failure, embarrassment, ridicule etc, I have conditioned myself to believe that I will be absolutely miserable if I don't at least try.
I have the mentality that the thing, whatever it is, has to prove me to that it doesn't work before I stop trying and move on, regardless of what other people say!

This is totally agreeable. Risk is an essential part of life and everything consists of risks in their own way.

If we want to grow more, we must take more risks. As they say, more risk means more return. If you want more, you risk more. If you want less, usually you risk less (but not all the time, sometimes you still risk more). If you want none, you still risk something.

However, make sure to take calculated risks because losing is not always something you can arise from. So don't be optimistic all the time and think that you've learned something when you've lost. Remember, you still lost something.

I agree with you on that one.

It is good to take risks that are not dangerous for us, either in business or in our personal lives.

I agree, it can be a risk to try something new. I agree with Gianni, if you don't try things out in your life, how will you know if they will work out for you? You could lose out! And even if it doesn't work out for you, at least you tried.

If you lose, you learned something out of it. Always try to see the positive part of it, to learn from it.

Most people, see the negative side of it. There is a lot to learn from the negative side too.

In my opinion, I think both sides should be taken into consideration to judge the situation and learn from it.

That is correct my friend.

In order to gain something, we need to risk something in life.

If you want to make more money, you might get another job.

You might earn more money on one side, but you could be late sometimes in your second job on the other side, because of your previous responsibilities in your first job. You earn more money, but you risk to be late sometimes in your second job.

I took the risk when I resigned from my corporate job and decided to be a WAHM as an online freelancer/internet marketer. No regrets at all, but at one point, dry season comes along, with no client, no income.

Negative feelings will come out and sometimes I can't help it but to feel that way. Again, I motivated myself to see the positive side because I now see the value of savings and to never put all eggs in one basket.
