Law of Attraction, Ask and You Shall Receive and All That Jazz... What's Your Take On It?

not really that simple just how it works.. but many times when your asking for something you are doing it from a mindset of not having it.. so you get more not having it ..

what feeling will having said thing give you ..then do what you can to have that feeling now ..and you increase your chance of getting that thing or something different but better..

but the univers is not there to treat you like a spoiled child.. your here to grow so you will easily attract events that cause you to grow.. unfortunatly .. most of those event are not to fun at the time ..

we live in a world where people are fed a contant diet of negative events.. so most people are stuck in a mode of attracting negative events ..because in many cases save for winning the lottery .. most people don't even enertain the mind with thought of better things happening ..

Look... Why not?

When I look back on my youthful life, I have really gotten everything my heart has truly desired. I was raised Christian, but I think my spiritual views are a mix of Christian, Hindu, Buddhist and New Age (which the Universe falls under), and the "Universe" definitely listens to the beat of my heart. I have discovered that meditating, praying, sending out frequencies makes little difference in your life if you don't take the right kind of action. Actions brings possibility into your life.

It's kind of like that old Italian joke where a poor man went to church every single day and kneeled in front of a statue of a Saint. He begged the Saint "Dear Saint, Please, please, please let me win the lottery." One day the saint, out of exasperation comes to life and says to the begging man "My son, please please please buy a ticket!"... You have to take action!

While I am totally for the Universe, I am however really against affirmations. I think affirmations keep you in the place of lack and I am all about possibility and being in a place that welcomes possibility.

Following on from what Odahh said, you really cannot afford anytime for negative thought patterns. If you succeed with this, let me know how, but keep positive (genuinely positive) and results to happen. It has definitely worked for me.

The reason why some people think the Law of Attraction doesn't work is because they don't take into account the OTHER forgotten laws (hence, why they are forgotten, LOL).

Law of Attraction is just one of these laws, which is perhaps a sub-law of one of the other universal laws out there.

You have to take into account that others like Law of Reciprocity, Law of Transmutation, Law of Polarity, etc. etc. co-relate and coincide with each other along with the Law of Attraction, which you can theorize, mix and match them all in different approaches to understand each of them.

Nobody will ever really fully understand the laws (because there is infinite possibilities when you consider them all), but know that the Law of Attraction is just ONE of these.

It just happens to be one of the most marketed and publicized of the forgotten laws. That's why there's so much hype about it.

I believe it was written a long time ago in the Bible And it's true but not without limits for example you can ask for someone else's wife and believe all day long- You may get her- But that's a very bad idea.

Since the law of attraction and the law of cause and effect are one in the same, there's no choice but to believe. Though the LOA itself doesn't require you believe, it just goes on being law anyway.

The law of attraction, or cause and effect is the basis for every major religion in history. Earl Nightingale once said that the law of attraction was the only thing people throughout history consistently agreed upon.

And please, don't confuse The Secret with this law. The Secret is to the law of attraction what Cliff Notes is to War and Peace. Though there is some good stuff to be found in The Secret.

The only hing I believe is that Law of Attraction is as real as the law of gravity.
The only thing it does is gives us the ideas to get attracted towards our goal.
Our work is tho take inspired action on the ideas we get into our heads by somewhere they call the Universe.If you take no action , then you are not using the law of attraction to its fullest.

The issue with the Law of Attraction is that people do not realize there is hard work in between wanting, envisioning something, and getting it.

People should envision the hard work that they have to do to achieve their goals.

By applying the this law, the energy of you will changed. You mindset will change and do the necessary action to achieve the desire outcome.

Of cos it come with hard work and not merely day dreaming. Law of Attraction is a form energy which need our subconscious to be focus on the things to do.

In case you dont know that by able to tap into our subconscious mind, we will be able to achieve greater heights then us just relying on our conscious mind.

So Law of Attraction is actually telling us to use our subconscious and tap on the powerful energy within you to achieve your dream.

I've read The Secret and I personally think it's a load of guff. It's just age old principles re-hashed into a Sunday movie.

I believe in the Law of Action. If something is important to you and you want it then you have to TAKE ACTION. To me it's as simple as that.

The greatest and most successful minds in history took action and weren't scared to fail...

Yeah the law of attraction has definitely been around for thousands of years and as many of you stated it is only ONE of the laws of the universe. It isn't THE SECRET but it does play a part in forming your experience, but not necessarily more than the law of expectation or the law of cause and effect in my opinion. I like your sig Swami!

I think that most people who criticise the LOA missed the subtext. By focusing on what you want you are more likely to take the action required to meet up with your desires.
