What are your tips to become motivated?

Motivation is an important thing to always be in high spirits while working. This is vital in order to accomplish a lot and be more productive. This can also contribute in creating great projects. One's flare in working can be seen in his outputs. If he is really motivated to work on something, the projects will surely have high quality and are easily finished.

Here are my lists to become motivated:
-Be inspired
-Be excited
-Target one goal
-Think about the benefits you will make it
-Be optimistic

    • Look in the mirror and recognize you are looking at your competition.

Regardless of anything anyone else ever does, only a lack of tangible online properties with profitable formulas intact will prevent you from raising money.

Taking action is the key to success.

Even if you succeed less than 10% of the time, if your priority is taking action and cranking out work, you'll find that the 10% profit adds up quickly and is very nice. =)

Market and promote stuff you're passionate about. When you do that you're not working you're doing something you love. And it doesn't take much motivation to do something you love.

I completely agree, if you are working on a website/project simply for profits, the fun and excitement won't be there as much as it would be if you were passionate about the subject.

By working with subjects you are truly passionate about, you can almost guarantee the success of your project - assuming you have the skills to pull it off, whatever it is!

My tip: Know exactly what you want and make it achievable with a reasonable amount fo time. That way you can see something exciting coming. Massive goals with dates are poison to motivation. Smaller goals with ASAP timelines are nourishment to motivation.

I like to work for 40 mins and then relax for 20 of each hour i spend online.

Sitting infront of a computer for 4 hours at a time can often become tiresome, it alsozaps your creativity. So I usually go make a cup of coffee, jerk off or go smoke a joint in the garden for a short break.

When i come back i am motivated and usually have some different angles to approach my target.

Just think why you're doing something (or why you need to do it, in some cases) and then think who you're doing it for.

Everyone has their own reasons and that's what makes most of them going. Another way to keep yourself going is to have simple rewards/treats to yourself whenever you finish tasks.

      Your tips to become motivated?

It's not the generalisation of 'focusing'.

It's not for the sense of achievement.

      It's not for excitement.

Neither is it for any of the myriad of other reasons people state.

True motivation comes from looking into the eyes of your children and feeling such love that you desperately want to better yourself, to make their future brighter.

True motivation comes from wanting to repay your partner who has been at your side throughout the lean years, and could do with that special 'break' that has often been promised.

True motivation comes from being able to provide some extra comfort for your parents in their old age if they are unable to afford it themselves.

True motivation is realising that by making a success of your life you can also make the lives of your family better too.

For those who have had nothing. For those who have struggled in vain. And for those who dream continually. Motivation comes from a yearning, a hunger, and a passion that burns fiercely inside and girds your loins for the long day ahead.

Untold wealth should never be your sole reason for motivation. Love and compassion are far superior motivators.

Seems to me that the greatest philanthropist in the history of the United States, and quite possibly in the history of the planet Earth, had "untold wealth". His name was Andrew Carnegie.

Seems to me that for all his flaws, a man named Bill Gates has fed more families good food and housed more families than anyone else here who's blithely saying that desires for great achievement, focus, and wealth aren't good motivators. Let's grow up.

The thread is not about Andrew Carnegie or Bill Gates. If you read the title it's - What are your tips to become motivated? I never said that desires for great achievement and wealth are NOT good motivators. I said that love for your family is the greatest motivator . . . in my eyes at least, but obviously not in your cold eyes.

If your looking for an argument your on the wrong forum. Talking of growing up, take a look in the mirror some time.

I usually keep some good short stories about success or mental spirit I collected in my computer, or keep some books like "Chicken Soup for our soul". When I'm feeling down, hesitated or afraid of challenge, I'll read those stories to motivate myself. Until now, this tip still works for me ^^

I find it very motivating when I get a great comment on one of my blogs. It makes me want to work even harder.

Also, I read motivating books by people who are positive in their outlook. If I find myself thinking too much about the past, I try to concentrate only on today and what I can get done.

Sometimes I write a list of all the work I have done in a day. It makes me feel so great to see all I have done some days. Then I reward myself (like some other posters do!) by letting myself go out and relax.

Other days I write a list and get satisfaction by putting a big "X" by everything on my list that I get done. I am easy on myself if I don't get anything done too. AND helping somebody else with a tip or encouragement makes me feel very inspired.

Believe it or not, but sometimes you are the biggest problem for your own life. Your brain can understand what you should do. But your mind can sometimes tell you a different thing. Your life will be destroyed in this kind of a fight. Don't let your life create such a situation for you. Make yourself strong enough to believe what you are doing is absolutely correct. But you must not motivate yourself to do something that most people would consider wrong. The following article might help you.
