Flippa is certainly a good money spinner and if you can get some earnings from a site as well you can normally sell it at around 6 times the value of one month's earnings

I would be careful with selling domains on Flippa if you're new to "domaining". Flippa can be a tricky animal and if you're not careful, you can lose money and time.

If you're going to sell new sites, you should focus on creating "potential" value for buyers. A sites value is based on the perception of your buyers.

Flippa buyers are looking for sites that they know will be easy to make money with and are not complicated to run.

Will your site/domain do that for them?

Just stick with selling sites that have potential value and good products on them. Or also if you want to build adsense sites that gain money, you can make wild money flipping them.

I have a student who has flipped multiple sites for about $2,000 - $3,000.

It's really nice seeing these types of success stories, especially when the sites are completely custom built and not just spam sites (hate those).

I once spent $3,000 on a site on Flippa and got screwed over with a junk site, luckily I got a refund (whew).

The fact that you doubt something without actually trying is why others will profit from this and you won't.

Flipping sites is going to be around forever. It's the same concept as flipping a business.

Do you just toss up a random site and make money? No.

You are giving people a business model pretty much, one that you've already proven is successful, hence why this works and it will always work.

As more people flock to the internet, websites will potentially become more valuable, apps could be flipped, and so forth.

If you are referring to building the sites, the model, everything, there's likely someone out there interested.

If you are just referring to domains and hosting, a web developer could buy domains for $8/yr and hosting for $6 a month pretty easily.
