Since you're still a student, perhaps do your best first to promote your forum within your private network or whatever network it is closest or most accessible to you. That's almost for free and you just need to convince people good enough to take notice of your forum. After that, do some more convincing by asking help to promote your forum to their extended networks (or private networks of those within your private network). Well, that's basically it. The power of the internet mainly relies on the inter-connectivity of persons' networks so use that. It's mostly and virtually for free anyway.

Of course, before you do all the promotion stuff, make sure your forum already contains some 'seed' topics that are worthwhile.

    Hi.

Just passing by. This information is from my book set: '7 Keys to Ecommerce Wealth', and, '7 Keys to Ecommerce Wealth Advanced' Consider some concepts:

Today's forums flourish as they are socially niche specific entities.

Niche specific social keyword operators, are friendly to both machine algorithm search engines, and the equivalent psychologies of the human user.

    • The right social keywords, will bridge the distance between the site-property that is broadcasting and exposing the where about of its presence, and the socially hungry individual looking for a place to be.
    • Traffic brokering and social population aggregation, are each commanded by the forces of magnetism. So what keyword resonates a magnetic affinity in the being of a 'have-to-have' material, place, item, offering, convenience, or service?
In terms of populating a forum with the attractive principle of 'interest', what is the forums magnetic disposition within its keyword sensitive niche community?

    • Disposition in this case, references, the state of social posture, attitude, moral preference, behavioral trend, discussion incentive, or need to fill a vacuum. These are people areas, with built in questions, depending on the sophistication of the intended forum demographic.
    • Of course, strategically placed articles, that are social keyword sensitive, and drip-feed specifically to article directories, is generally a sure-fire time sensitive method of attracting attention, especially if the article is thought provoking and causes topic questions.

Then there's the correspondent video campaign, which can be presented through YouTube, but will be more effective in audience attention capture if presented through a platform that you control, so as to disallow audience attention from wandering away due to YouTube end-of-video-play presentations.

    • Forum video campaigns might explode the improper forum audience attraction, UNLESS, the correct measure of keyword accuracy, is utilized in support of the smart keyword specific, visual and audio social content presentation.
    • And here's a bombshell to consider. 'Brand Your Forum'. Brand it as the place to be, because integrity, smartness, better information, and cross-pollinating viewpoints of interest, can be found where you are. Do this branding through calculated video campaigns, as you can present all aforementioned aspects within the audio/visual content.
I mention branding, due to the big gorilla Google, sweeping the commercial net with Caffeine, Panda , and now, Penguin. Seems they're looking to be friendlier to brands and corporations of size. Go figure...

There a whole bunch more, but the condensed version is to cause questions in the social category chosen, and then expose the questions of conversation to populations through keyword correspondent promotions.

Now, besides what's mentioned above, REMEMBER, you are in the Warrior Forum. The knowledge base is here. You simply have to seek out multiple strategy's, weed out what's not compatible to your taste or understanding, and get busy taking action. *Keep in mind, that what works well for one, might be less than effective for the other using the same strategy.

Something to think about. Hope this helps...

Start by telling all your friends and relatives about it. Send them a link to your website. And then take time to go through this forum , the main internet marketing section, to learn strategies for generating traffic to your website.

You may want to start a blog site and post their regularly to drive customers to your website. Have it match your website niche. Also, Google ads can help. You may also want to post to Blog Directories and also leave meaningful comments on other blogs that pretty much match yours.

A great picture or two on your blog or site could also help.

Post regularly and use Google Webmaster Tools too. Check your keywords and make sure they are helping your site get noticed. These are just a few things you may want to try.

I agree with Abugah too, there are MANY free tips for making your blog better right here on the Warrior Forum too.

You could make accounts and populate it a bit yourself. Lame I know, but it's a way to get some content at least. Then try to drive traffic to it, I don't think i need to go into depth about that. If you can having people you know populate it with you would be much easier.

You can try promoting your forums by writing quality articles and submitting them to high quality articles directories. Then also try to promote through other quality blogs and forums related to your niche. This should help.

Well, the first thing you could do is to optimize the title tag of the forum so that it actually reflects what you are offering. Something like this would do it:

Anime Forums | Manga Discussion Forum

Secondly, the Forum Title needs to be something other than 'Anixekai C'.

These two tips will give you more possibility of people finding you in the search engines.

But, all that is going to be no use unless you have lots of users. A few fake accounts that you and your friends have created to make the forum look as busy as possible and to make sure threads get as much traction as possible would help. Active forums encourage people to use them, so you've got to make yours look active.

Anime Forums | Manga Discussion Forum
A lot of people told me that they are not interest as they are not otaku or some anime fag, so I am trying to focus those people that are erm.. not watching anime type >.< I plan to use 'Entertainment' as keyword. Because I do not wish my forum to discuss about anime only, i wish my forum able to discuss from relationship, to cell phones and computing to stock market , to business and career , to politics and so on . I wanna wider the topics that are available in my forum. However, currently unable to do so due to lack of members >.<

that's exactly it. you gotta make a forum that's relevant to the people nowadays, what motivates everyone in the world? money, power, fame, a big one is health and fitness, gotta pick a big niche that everyone can relate to i think

don't even worry that you're a student, be the guru about your topic, if you act like you're the expert, people will believe you're the expert

I've never owned a forum but I've help moderate a growing one - how that webmaster got members was by creating topics/threads within his forum to rank for specific searches. After a couple months, his forum started growing naturally from those organic searches.
