1,000 a minute verse 30$ an hour

I am not going to hunt down the you tube clip or the strory because the presentation in it's normal setting distracts from the point.

Best violinist in the world with a 2 or 3 million dollar violin .. makes 1,000$ a minute when playing on stage..

so to prove a point that the mass of humanity is in some sad state of missing the beuty that surrounds them.. the social experiment the people behind the test came up with was to have him play in a subway and see how many stop.. over the course of an hour with thousands of people rushing by only a few stopped and about 30 dollars was dropped in the case ...

of course many people do what people behind the experiment might have wanted.. become very sad at the state of humanity and try to use it to explain why our society is in such a poor state ..

but the true findings that get missed beside that for a lot of people making 30 dollars in an hour is great.. is the fact that when this guy expresses his skill his refined talent.. in the proper place .. he makes $1,000 a minute..and has an audience listen to every bit of his performance .. but if he choses like he did to express his talent his gift and his skill .. where it was not appropriate ..he was lucky to make about $30 in an hour with barely anyone stopping to listen for a length of time ..

for a lot of people 30$ an hour would be cake .. but how many people are spinning their wheels seteling for 30$ and hour when they can make 100 Times that in the same amount of time with the right system ..
#30$ #hour #minute #verse

This is definitely something that I learned and agreed on whenever I read MJ Demarco's "Fastlane To Millions"

He talks about how just being caught up in the hum-drum of life prevents us from seeing the beauty in things such as music especially when a talented Violinist like Joshua Bell is playing a Stradivarius (one of the world's greatest acoustically tuned violins).

Sad that some people settle for less in life...

      That is awesome.

You gotta understand that most people are asleep and totally unaware.

I remember when I was catching the train into work I would be shocked out how zombie like most crowds of people are.

... I bet the opposite would work too and if you took some idiot got him to fake play the violin with a real violinist playing over the top and told people he was a superstar most would believe it.

This excellent tale also demonstrates the fact that the free market is frighteningly efficient and delivers what people want...even when those wants are ill-advised. Because of markets, the great violin virtuoso can make mad money doing what he loves. Because of markets, the masses are also free to be inept, oblivious, or tasteless.

We don't need more regulations and restrictions providing perverse incentives. We (as a society) need to become better individuals by choice, and demand and expect better quality.

Why is this bit of economics important to us Warriors? It's important that we choose online business endeavors that we can be passionate about but also leverage to elevate our personal value to ever more people.

Note: I think we should also realize that the violin virtuoso, when playing in the subway, did not surround himself with many people who believed that they could afford to pay him. When he plays at a pre-selected venue such as Radio City Music Hall, he performs for those who have decided in advance that they can afford to pay him. Again, who's your target audience?

one thing i heard about the story was most of the money came from one lady who recognized him..

the thing is if your going to perform on the street you sorta kinda have to look like a street performer ..andyou have to do more interesting beats that people will stop and show interest in..rather than live playing ..background music

it has nothing to do with people being asleep .. sometime they just have to get to work .. but the key is fine where they are able to stop and stand for a few minutes and learn the best tunes that people will happly listen too

there are lot of people who make money playing in the subway or on the streets and they make more than any job they could get .. but at the same time.. there are very few people who can make 1,000 $ a minute ..

but you can record your subway performances , mint your own cd or just sell song individually on itunes ..
