Surely, it's a great loss. He's the kind of author who prescribed a long term path to personal effectiveness rather than quick fixes.

Lets remember Dr.Covey.

That's too bad - I hadn't heard. I always liked his quote - "Seek first to understand, then to be understood." I think a lot of people are eager to jump into a conversation and point fingers before they even know what's going on.

I still have a Franklin Covey leather planner that I bought a while back. Maybe I should pull it out and get organized again! I always felt more comfortable planning on paper and never liked the pdas, etc.

yeah, I read the news this morning and I didn't believe it.

Did he pass away because of an accident in April? I didn't catch all the details...

Sad to hear this. Steven's legacy is truly incredible. Over 20 million people have been touched by his decision some 30+ years ago to take action and write a little book. What a gift to the world!

I have listened to Stephen Covey for years and though he physically has left us, his influence and teaching has not. He taught beginning with the end in mind and living a balanced life. The man left incredibly valuable lessons for effectively living, not only in business but in all aspects of life. A fine example of success and contributing to others.
