... if each day your goal was to meet just 5 new people? Think about it.

If my goal was to meet 5 new people everyday I would get out from my apartment more often (if I met them in RL and not over Internet) , get new friends, increasing my social skills..the list of positive things that would come from that goal is long but to sum it all up in one sentence; it would make me an even happier person .

That's 35 new friends per week. OK let's say you won't get on with all of them well, but let's say out of those 35, you get on well with 10 of them. That's 30 new acquintances per month - where could these connections take your spirit, your business, your mentality?

It's exciting to think about it

Meeting 5 new people a day is easy especially if you have good intention and if you can make a difference in their lives. Having a lot of friends is the best thing that could ever happen to us...

Then you would have tons of contacts and friends, and acquaintances. :0 That will be good for any businessman as it will increase and grow your network. Plus if your build good relationship all those people then they will also help you to market your business by word of mouth. Just like the movie Pay It Forward.

GO. MOVE. Keep GOING! Even with the smallest steps and slower paces, the important thing is you are NOT STOPPING! You'll get there!

I strongly believe that the most valuable asset one can have in life is the people he knows, but we need to take in account the quality of the relationships.

So, if I had this goal, I would get better at dealing with people and reap the implicit benefits of having relationships.

I think that it would distract me from my goal of becoming location independent. It might help if I were to meet the right individuals, though.

What do you mean by meeting? In our society you can meet people, and tommorow you forget about them, and they forget about you...unless you want to build relationships, wich takes time and energy...I do not think I have the energy to meet 5 people every day!

If that's a goal it's not impossibly if you work in Walmart or some other public places... But I can understand you are talking about friends... It would be feasible, but keeping contact to them all in future, may be a problem faster than you know.. After just 10 years you need to invite 9125 people to your birthday. Just hoping for a cheap dinner price... lol
