How to start your day

I've recently discovered the highly successful and motivational life coach that is Tony Anthony Robbins. While listening to one of his programs, he talked about the best ways to start your day.

We;;.. I tried the techniques and must say, with only four hours of sleep ( 0730-1130) It has kept me up through the day. ( It's 01;50 here the next day now.. still kicking.)

Curious yet ?

Step One. Wake up = JUMP OUT OF BED.
Don't crawl. Don't cry. JUMP THE F*** OUT OF BED LIKE YOUR BEING SHOT AT.

This for some reason will set the pace for your entire day. Start with a bang and keep the momentum.

Step Two: Go for a walk after your awake.

Walking will engage your body and mind, burn off excess energy from the night before and get your blood flowing.

These two little things will make a powerful impact on the quality of your day.

Try it out,

Can't hurt !

    Start my days with prayer.
    It is my regular routine.
    After that :-
    -take bath,
    -take my breakfast,
-and then go to my office.

What I do after I wake up is, eat some with healthy carbs - a banana or similar, go jogging and then drink two glasses of fresh water.

My version of Tony Robbins' "blast yourself out of bed" routine (just can't do it!)
    Up fast but no jumping
    Kettle on
Hot shower ending up cold brrr
Take coffee down to the back garden, with my dogs
Ten minutes soaking up the early morning - peace!
Wake up family and get our days started

I sometimes will linger in bed and organize the day in my head - create a "today's plan" if you will.

If I'm awake at the moment I'm in bed. I would get up. Thank GOD for a new day, read a daily Bible verse and get started with the day.

I sometimes run three laps in my area. I bike often. I'll do the walking when I acquire new running shoes. What I want to do now is organize what I want to get done before going to bed.

Starting of the day starts from the night before. You must tell yourself positive thoughts the night before.

I've always wondered about Tony Robbins. If he's so darn successful then how come he doesn't have another business besides teaching people what to do to be successful?

In reply to post 14, I would say that you can learn a lot from Tony Robbins on how to grow any type of business. For instance the best online marketers who we all look to learn from sell information to a hungry market. Tony Robbins does exactly that. If you read Awaken The Giant Within, you will see he started with nothing and became very successful through building his own business. I am currently revisiting this book because it is so powerful. The secret is to apply what he teaches and not just read the book and carry on as you always have in the past.

I have actually been doing this lately. Alarm at 5AM instead of 7, and I do have to get out of the bed to turn it off - radio at full volume - so lately I've been forcing myself to STAY up, and not get back in the bed to plan out my day, which never worked well for me anyway, lol. But yes, doing that has proven to help my day get started fast, and be more productive!

I get up very early. Drink about 4 glasses of cold water and take some vitamins like Vit. C. I write in my journal after reading some inspirational books for about 20 minutes. After writing for at least 45 min to an hour, I eat some light carbs like toast and jam and go for a brisk walk to the gym and work out for an hour. I listen to music while I work out which really gets me going all morning long.

Just picturing Warriors starting this habit without informing their sleeping partner of their intentions...

    "You OK love?!!!!!!!!!"

Yep! I'm good. Just getting motivated!

Sorry. Just couldn't help but make mind pictures there.

Good stuff BTW. I can see it's merit.
