Looking for the statistics of the cost of lead to customer rate

I am on an assignment for Veretekk to research among other things the cost of a successful lead to sales conversion. I would appreciate any assistance or direction that you may have on this subject.

    Hi Lonny,

If I understand you right you are wanting to know how many leads you have to process to get to a YES, so not only do you need the intial cost but also you have to factor in a closers time and cost together with telephonme calls and any other overheads.

I read somewhere it was around $250 but will need to trace the source again. I do know many people spend $100's a month buying leads perhaps their success ratio will help you with a basic cost.

Goofy question. It depends on a great many variables.
Every business is different. You might spend $1000s
generating leads and be in debt because your opportunity
is not profitable or you lose customers quickly.

I might spend $100 on ads and earn $1000s because my
marketing skills, copywriting, and prospecting skills are
at a stage where I can do that.

If you are looking at the common equation of how much
one has to spend on leads to build an MLM company,
I would direct you to actually look at the payplan and
how many customers a distributor needs to be in
profit. Attrition is crazy-high in MLM because almost
nobody makes any money, making the problem worse.

Look at the revenue model and positioning of the business.
Positioning is the responsibility of the individual
marketer. It is seldom if ever done adequately by
NWM companies. I used Veretekk for a couple of
years so I know the scoop.
