    You shouldn't release a product to a customer base that you have disdain for, or imagine yourself having disdain for.

    Instead of asking other people to talk you into sharing your knowledge, spend a little time on forums like this one, read posts from people trying to "make it", and ask yourself whether you genuinely want to help them, questions of money aside.

    If you do, then you should. If you think of them as clueless lazy freeloaders, spend your time on something more productive.

    My advice is totally not a no vote. What I mean is, in your post, your main concern is finding 500 people with $50 dollars and an appreciation for no-hype information.

    I think that's a total non-issue. If your information is good and interestingly conveyed, you'll sell all that and more, especially if you take some time to build relationships.

    But I think it's important to have a genuine desire to do it - outside of just "being qualified"

    Finding places where there is traffic and putting a product in front of them is not wrong provided you are offering value in your product. People spend for value and not for the hype that may be created for a product.

    What you may see in many cases is pure hype but products that offer good value go on to become bestsellers because both seller and buyer benefit out of it.
