The 1 Minute Millionaire...

Have any of you read "The One Minute Millionaire" by Mark Hansen and Robert Allen?

If so, what did you like about it? What did you NOT like about it?

If you haven't read it, I think it may be a worthwhile read. Just go to B&N, grab a coffee, and read it there for free...it's an easy read.

My Opinion:

I enjoyed the book with a few notable exceptions. It's two books in one with a novel written on the right side {to represent the creative side of our brains} and a loose instruction manual on the left {to represent our logical side}

I say loose because the left side gives a fair instruction but not a comprehensive step-by-step one. The right side tells an entertaining novel about a young widow that must make a million dollars in 90 days to keep custody of her children.

Both sides of the book are too cutesy for my liking. For example: the authors talk about "god" and how you need "god" to amass wealth because you absolutely need the "infinite network" to succeed. That bit is where I really disagree because it's operatiing on some very strong assumptions...assumptions that cannot be validated or falsified. I'm not one of faith and I really don't need to be to make money.

It's also impossible to make 1 million in 90 days following the story in the right side of the book. The principles in the book can certainly make you multiple millions of dollars in 10 years...or maybe even 4 if you're really detirmined and a bit lucky...but in 3 months? Give me a break. Real estate contracts can take 90 days to close...never mind manufacturing contracts.

Other than those points, I thought it was entertaining and inspiring. I'd give it a solid 7/10 and a recommendation to you Warriors.

That is my kneejerk response to the book...how about yours?

    That sounds interesting. I am done buying books right now until I see the ones that I have already bought producing real tangible value and results through my actions that reading them helps to shape. I have not read that book.

      Well like I said, if you wanna check it out then check out Barnes & Noble. You can prolly find it there and you can spend a few hours reading it there.

      Every month or so I'll spend an afternoon chilling at B&N drinking coffee and reading books...except for the coffee/gas it's free.

    One of my mentors was offered $900K for 30% stock in a company he hadn't even created yet. The idea was so incredible and undeniably profitable that most of the wealthy individuals in his inner circle were willing to invest almost blindly. Making $1M in 90 Days is far from impossible. I think it's all about awareness, the more open you are to new ideas and the more you allow your mind to accept and springboard off of the ideas bestowed upon you by the ether, the more opportunities you will find. I would just replace "God" with infinite shared consciousness. The intent that connects us all!
    Thanks for the post!

        Haha, an invisible NDA prevents me from talking about it but ridiculous deals and potential business partnerships would be thrown around, around me all the time.
        Instagram sold for $1 Billion before they even made an actual financial transaction. I don't rule out ANYTHING in terms of money anymore!

          I don't like MLM at all. I thought the book was too optimistic and cutesy, BUT I think it's inspirational...it got my creative juices going if nothing else.

          Instagram and Youtube and the like are 1 in {insert ridiculous number here} so I don't even bother considering them. I think the book is a bit misleading with it's projections...but like I said, you can make millions using the stuff in the book...just not in 90 days...or a year. Maybe 3 if you're good. {and lucky}

          Best regards.

            It's not an ebook. Spend an afternoon in Barnes & Noble and read the books in the "business" and "marketing" section...pretty frugal way to learn a few cool things. Take notes too so you don't forget.
