Don't READ THIS : Your heart will break !

Hey warriors ,

I have came across something from a product salespage on GURUS faking and making cash.

Just read a part from it below :

Did you know...?

  • John Gray, author of "Men are From Mars, Women are From Venus", the supposed guru of relationships has never had a successful marriage.
  • Barbara De Angelis who publishes books like "Chicken Soup For the Couples Soul" was married to John Gray until she cheated on him with another man.
  • Dr. Phil, who weighs in at about 245 pounds, gives people advice on how to lose weight! I'm sorry, but dude is only 6'2". I don't care how you spin it, he's overweight. Hmm.
  • Kim Cattrall of Sex in the City fame wrote a book about how women can have non-stop, blissful orgasms. She divorced her husband shortly after the book was published. Her reason: Her husband just wanted to have sex all the time!
  • Napoleon Hill, author of Think & Grow Rich (millions of copies sold), lived most of his life destitute and poor, and had to be rescued from poverty at the end of his life by a friend who took pity on him.
I am very much inspired by the Books written by these people but are they really not living the principles they write in their books.

Please Do comment and tell your opinions about this !

I still love the Napoleon Hill materials and will always do that but is the stuff really worth studying ?

Please leave your thoughts here !

Shubhashish

    Excellent share..

This proves that even with all the knowledge in the world, if you don't take action you will not achieve anything..

    Cheers,

hill knew the principles he just never tried to get paid .. and dan keneddy mention it a time or teo.. it was the head of the insurance company .. forget his name . who took on hill.. and paid him to develop his training programs ..also bought the rights to much of his material ..

you can not listen to the experts most of the time .. you can however pick up some of the stuff that may be useful to you ..

investing is a lot worse .. a lot of people have their life savings invested in schemes that where sold to them by sales men who never had extra money to put in the stock market ..

    Hey there,

Your post does not break my heart, at all, not even a little bit.

People are valued based on the results they get for others.

Not always what they've done/gotten/or were served in financial, emotional, or (Martial status) terms - in their lives.

For example, Napeolon's book sold millions of copies and it's one of the best selling books of all time.

That book has no doubt created thousands of successful men and women.

You have to remember that experts are still humans, and you SHOULD NOT discount there advice simply because their lives have holes in them too.

Their advice got other PEOPLE RESULTS. Which is WHY you KNOW ABOUT THEM, to begin with. Everyone you mentioned is famous or known - and for a reason.

So it is not a contradiction to give pick up/dating advice while being a virgin.

    *BIG IF HERE*

If your dating advice has led to hundreds or thousands of guys and gals SUCCESSFULLY DATING - or HOOKING UP then the person own success in following his advice becomes irrelevant.

The coaches/consultant's own life results are irrelevant.

Merit and value is based on the success and RESULTS your "STUFF" get's other people.

Doing WELL in your AREA of expertise also helps - don't get me wrong. But anyone who is talked about has earned their stripes and paid their dues IN FULL.

So see it that way - My heart is no where near broken - those people affected many positively.

The reflection of their lives MUST NOT be biased into your assessment of their credibility.

    -Justin

I've read where Napoleon Hill communicated with Charles Haanel and I believe as Hill's methods are as heavy as Haanels. Haanel actually used his methods and made money.

Why have you included Napoleon Hill in the list?

    1. He was born in a one-room cabin near the Appalachian town of Pound, in Southwest Virginia,
(Being born in a poor family is not your fault)
    2. His mother died when he was eight years old, and his father remarried two years later. (Now have a look at his early years hardships and pains)
    3. At the age of 13, Hill began writing as a "mountain reporter" for small-town newspapers in the area of Wise County, Virginia. He later used his earnings as a reporter to enter law school, but soon he had to withdraw for financial reasons. (His desperate attempt to change his life)
    4. Now think about the time (World War 1, World War 2, The Great Depression) He wasn't alone who suffered in 20s, 30s and 40s.
    5. What was his occupation? (author, journalist, attorney, lecturer)

By the time he died in 1970, he had already lived nearly 3 decades as a successful person.

What makes you include him in the list?

They're probably are able to write books with such great principles based on their bad choices. Besides, the best way to learn is by making mistakes and learning from it.
