who is your only real competitor ..

it is you the person you want to be with the person you are today .. and is the person you are today ahead of the person you where last week or the week before that ...

sometime you will be behind today .. but for a better life..a majority of your days will need to be slightly better than the days before ..

What I think you're saying is that your only competitor is yourself, due to the self-applied inhibiting constraints you allow to drag you down. That the only way to stay ahead of our "real competition", is to do our best to make certain that most of our days are days we're further ahead than the day previous.

the worst thing we can do is compare ourselves with others because there will always be someone who is better and brighter than you out there.

Let the you of today be better than the you of yesterday

I help young adults who are struggling physically, spiritually, emotionally, financially and relationally to take steps today to see results in a matter of weeks without having to go through the pain of buying thousands of books, courses and counseling sessions.

I'm a very competitive person and i find that mindset hard to break. I think it's good to be inspired by others and not try to compete with them.

Regarding the competitive spirit, a successful person (Steve Pavlina for those who heard of him) said that competitiveness is rooted in scarcity. There's need for competition, because there isn't enough for everybody. The abundance mindset is the exact opposite, that there is enough for everybody, so there isn't need for competition.

I tend to look at it a little differently.....Who I am today should be a result of the goals I was striving for yesterday. Who I will be tomorrow should be determined by the goals I achieve today.

Today's "me" isn't in competition with yesterday's "me" nor is it in competition with tomorrow's "me." Each is on the same team with the others; each is there to help along the next.

Sometimes I compare my past performances with my present performance I think that is where the real competition is.
