Internet Marketing Motivation Tips

Hi Guys & Gals,

I know focus & motivation can be a challenge when working on your own business. Here are a few tips that can help your focus & productivity.
  1. Work out: Take a walk, walk around the block, walk your dog, as long as you are walking and getting fresh air, clearing your mind and not doing something related to your work.
  2. Take the day off: You know what they say about all work & no play! Balance is the key!
  3. Sleep: Sleeping will not only clear your head, but it will give you energy.
  4. Make a list: Like many IMers I tend to have multiple projects in motion at any given time. Making & keeping lists helps keep me on track!
  5. Eliminate distractions: Turn off the TV, radio, phone or anything else that will get in the way of your focus.

Thanks & feel free to add to this list if you like!

Tim

Lol.... Seriously, If thats the case I've got to add

Spend time on social networking sites like Facebook. Make sure you like and comment on those cute little kittens.

Post pictures on Instagram and just spend a couple hours playing with the pic/layers

Following celebrities on Twitter and keep up to date with the latest news treding from TMZ

Send group messages out to all your friends on Watsapp or Facebook Messenger that should eat up a couple hours like pac-man

Network with random people on Skype and spend a couple hours there in hope that something sticks and gets you some sales or even a JV.

Take a break from it all to ensure you catch up with your latest TV series.
Say your prayers and just before you go to bed feel satisfied with yourself and "how much work you did to add to YOUR BUSINESS"

Prepare for the same tasks tomorrow.

Seriosuly brv, nothing you suggested here would motivate a monkey!

Not sure I understand brv are you advocating, devour junk food, coffee, alcohol and energy drinks..

Shut off from friends and hoard away your money as a way of motivating
yourself to delivering quality, value driven products and services to your marketplace..

Hmmmmm me thinks I found out what I've been doing wrong all these years,
excuse me while I step for a moment to go and buy me a hit of crack

The primary aspect of motivation is psychological, but if the body isn't nourished it really don't matter what your telling yourself, or what pretty pictures you hang on the wall next to your computer..

        All the best mate..

I make a list of 3 tasks I want to accomplish during the day. I finish those tasks before I do anything else. These of course need to be specific issues that you need done, not just to get coffee
But by just focusing on finishing three things each day, you get 1000 meaningful tasks done over the year!

    Turn it into a game.

I like to use pomodoros - little time blocks of 25 minutes with a 5 minute break. I found an app for my phone called Pomodroido that gives you different levels like Amateur, Pro, and etc based off how many pomodoros you have done.

Plus, pomodoros are all about focusing like crazy on one task for that time period. When things start getting done and you get more pomodoros done, it's a great feeling.

I find that it's easier for me to focus after a short break - you don't have to take the day off, but every once in a while step down from the computer and relax a bit.

      2. Log on and view image of latest Aston Martin.
      3. Drool.

The best way to keep somebody motivated is to show them something that gets relatively quick results.

Even if it's just 1 sale or a couple of bucks, it can make a huge difference between a quitter and someone who goes on to be successful online.

Good idea. I never thought of listening to soft instrumental music whilst drooling over an Aston Martin.

Think about, and visualize the benefits you will get when you accomplish your goal.

      Read about successful people.

    Nice post !

After sports (go to the gym in my case) is when I'm most creative.

I think doing sport or activity to disconnect is impossible to get goals, because your brain burns unintentionally.

    Cheers!
