Absorb what is useful

Some people create development books, blogs, and videos that is truly inspiring. Some of them have helped me changed my entire life. From being pessimistic to optimistic. I always see negatives in life without thinking the positive side.

Before I always say "later" but today "now" is the best action word for me.

The hardest part is the negatives.

From one of my favorite self help books, it describes getting rid of the negatives by training your brain to react positively to negatives.

To me it makes sense, because if you create a habit to instantly think something positive when a negative pops up, then the negatives will only last that split second before the positive overpowers it.

      The New Psycho-Cybernetic by Kennedy

It was recommended by someone in the copywriter forum, loved the book, working on putting its methods into practice.

Very true. That is one of the best books you could ever read to improve your psychology, arguably the best. Jim Rohn also refers to it, as disciplining your disappointment. When he was in Network Marketing he eventually figured out that 3 out of 10 people would buy from him so every time someone would turn him down he was only 6 away from making a sale. The best salesman remain unphased by "no's"

Sometimes you really can't keep yourself from thinking the negative side as it's the reality and the possibility right? So what I always do is this, let the negative thoughts stay in my brain for a moment then do the next step. How? Think of a backup plan; a solution that will make the whole thing positive. Negatives are always there to complete the scene right? It's up to you how you finish the whole story.

Great point from you OolongMedia. Negative is always there for positive.
But having a backup plan is the best solution to make everything right.

    Great Bruce Lee Quote

The best way to act is in the now, it's all we ever have. Putting something off as in doing it 'later' isn't real, there is no later, you only ever have the present moment. Therefore if something is bothering you or you wish to get something done, there's only the now to do it in. Nothing that has ever been achieved or accomplished in the history of the universe has ever occurred in any other time than the now. So use the 'now' and you'll always be progressing in life, you can't act in the past or the future, have you ever done anything that hasn't been in the present moment? Of course not, it's impossible.

Many people develop negative thought and mind patterns when putting things off til 'later'. Putting something off til later will create anticipation, fear, anxiety and other negative emotions. It's always at the back of your mind like a lingering shadow if you put something off, and that's a dreadful load of baggage to be carrying around all the time. On the other hand, the past offers the same negativity, if you cling on to the past, and allow past experiences to stop you progressing and developing, then you are denying yourself the ability to live 'now'.

The way this should be approached is that if something is bothering you, you have three choices. One is to act upon it right now to relieve yourself of this bother. Two is to fully accept how your current situation is and allow it to be, thus stopping it from bothering you any longer. Or three is to leave the situation so that you are free from it and you no longer wish to pursue whatever the objective was as it doesn't matter anymore. However putting something off, or letting it linger will not do you any favors. Take any form of action instantly, one of those three methods, and you will find yourself in a better place.

@ Evocess - Great to see that you have hopped on board in the 'now'

    Jack.

      Hi Jack,

Thank you for posting in this thread. I really enjoy reading your post.
I do agree with all the statement mentioned above especially with this line "Nothing that has ever been achieved or accomplished in the history of the universe has ever occurred in any other time than the now.". This is the best statement I've read. Lots of people became successful because they believe in the power of the word 'now'.

Those three approaches are really great!

      Thanks,
      Justin Durano

When I hear the name of Bruce Lee before when I was a kid I always think of Kung Fu and I just thought that Bruce Lee is only good in Kung Fu. But when I enter the internet world and browse with some inspirational quotes and videos I was really shocked when I see quotes and videos of Bruce Lee.

Bruce Lee is really a LEGENDARY not only in Kung Fu but also with his words that can INSPIRE a lot of people.

So true! It's incredible how aware he was of the psychological aspects of success. He was in a world of his own!
