Just Have Fun...Darn It

Hey Warriors!!

So I've coached many people, have seen many people make it and many people not make it. I can honestly say that mindset and soft skills are probably THE most important variable in ones success and if you've followed me in any capacity before, you know I truly believe that.

Well, time for a tip of the day...

Have fun, smile, enjoy building your business and doing whatever it is that you are doing. The people I see who stress out about little things, have angry looks on their faces, start controversy and so on are the ones who rarely make it in this industry.

The people who smile, have a good time, laugh and have fun are the ones who tend to do well...in my experience. Of course you need to work your tail off, but the point is that you can work hard, work smart, AND take action all while you are still having fun.

Give it a shot. There are plenty of awesome threads in this forum and books out there to help you see your world in a positive light...do it, I dare you, and I bet you will notice a difference in your success!

Sounds good, will be making a concerted effort

    • That goes back to living out your passion. When you love what you do, it's work, but it doesn't really feel like work. people pay you to do what you love to do or would do for free if you didn't have to eat everyday.

Staying positive and rockin' away everyday is a great way to stay motivated working for yourself.

Yes it's all about having fun. As a newbie, it's tough to have fun though when you aren't really generating any traction (sales).

You have to definitely have a backup plan at first and then make the fulltime transition when it is time because it's very tough staying upbeat and focused when you can't seem to land enough sales to pay for coffee, not to mention a mortgage...

    Thanks for the inspiration.

I dunno...I still found it fun to grind away knowing the potential was there.

FIND A WAY to make it fun!

For those of you who don't know Kenster's story...

He got started by making tons and tons of videos with Animoto, as well as offline marketing with fliers.

And I remember reading in his Rags 2 Riches that he'd get some mean looks sometimes while doing offline stuff.

So if he can keep a positive attitude even through that, anyone can!

Hey, Kenster, thanks for the tips and insight. I completely agree that we NEED to include some fun into our daily business and marketing activity. It helps to relax us and maintain a balanced perspective on the challenges we face and it gives us a better story to look back on and write about once we do achieve our financial goals.

If we're not enjoying our journey, then what's the point of it, anyway?

Great post as always Kenster , I think its like work.I totally love my day job and wake up every morning excited and pleased to be going to that job. This means i think that i enjoy life and am also a happier person as a result. The same applies to my online activities , i enjoy it and that means i am more likely to put more effort in and spend time doing it.If you detest doing what you are doing then your creative juices wont flow as well and your sales will suffer , making you even more fed up lol

Enjoy it and eventually you will crack the code

Absolutely, We should have fun, laugh in our daily work/activity and should not get angry or nervous if something isn't working initially as you know it takes time to achieve something or reach a particular destination.

Therefore one should try to have fun instead of getting nervous, depressed.

  • So true Kenster! Having fun while you are working will make you a lot more productive and happier. That's when you will find it easier to get motivated to work and most importantly consistently take action.

I would also add you need to work on your inner self as well. Some people have a hard time being happy no matter what, because they have some issues in their inner self they haven't confronted. You need to have the courage to reach inside yourself and identify those issues are holding you back (they could be causing you pain, hurt or doubt). Then you need to deal with them.

Our mind is a powerful tool but often it controls us. It is not until we can control our mind that are able to reach out potential.

Kenster, honestly if you don't have the right mindset and loosen up a little in this business you'll likely give up before you reach the level of success you're truly capable of. I loved your tip of the day. Please keep them coming!
