My mom was just hit by a car.

That was scary.

My mom called me on the phone right now and said "Do you love me?" and I said, "of course", and then she hit me with "I was just hit by a car and I'm heading to the E.R. and the person who hit me just took off."

Really scared me.

I just want you to know that life can change in an instant.

Luckily, she's okay, but imagine what could have happened.


Remember, just because you are healthy, active, and doing what you think is important to you, that could all end tomorrow.

Live each day like it's the last day.

    I am glad she is alive and sound, and to whoever took off after commiting the crime, he is an ass, the least he could of done is stayed around and called 911 to make sure she was ok and get her medical attention, it sad to see what the world has come to.

    I totally understand where you are coming from. I was thinking this the other day when I woke to a call that my mom had been rushed to the ER. My uncle had found her passed out in her room. Her blood pressure was extremely high. She has so many talents and skills, so when she gets out I'm going to talk with her about living every day as if it's her last. We just never know!!!! Glad your mom is ok!

    I didn't mention this in my original post, but she wasn't driving a car.

    My mom was literally hit while riding her bike.

    Someone ran a stop sign while she was crossing the street.

    They slammed into her, she fell into the oncoming traffic lane (luckily there were no cars coming!) and the person stopped.

    Then, as soon as she got up, the person took off and didn't even make sure she was okay.

    My mom has no intention of trying to ruin someones life over something like this, but the fact remains that the person could have killed her.

    I've heard of scenarios where people die from something as simple as just tapping their head.

    Anyways, she went to the E.R. where she found out her blood pressure was spiked (she takes blood pressure pills) and that she had a cracked bone.

      So glad your Mom is ok, what a terrifying situation!! Thanks for the share on the family photo, when you lose a loved one, especially a parent these photos become so important, so priceless and so cherished!!

      Remember to tell those you love how important they are to you as often as you can, may be the last words you say to them....so better to have said them.
