Organization + Motivation + Game Plan = Success!
Whenever I talk to my friends, family, students, etc... I always tell them to focus on these three main areas of business. Doesn’t matter if you are starting an offline business or an online business, following these three guidelines will help your business grow into something successful.
1. Organization
Have a spot for everything. If you have an online business stay organized (emails, folders, hosting, etc...) Keep a weekly spreadsheet on what is happening with your business. Keep a calendar with payment dates (hosting, aweber, etc...) In the long run, doing this will keep your head clear and mentally organized.
2. Motivation
Without motivation, what is the point of starting a business anyway? Whatever motivates yourself, remind yourself often why you are doing this. Keep a picture around your work area or something that you can look at that will remind yourself why you want to succeed.
3. Follow your game plan
SUPER IMPROTANT! Follow the business plan that you have laid out for yourself. It is so easy to lose focus and move on to something else while working online since there are always new shiny ideas popping up everywhere.
If you follow these three areas of business, you will succeed in business!
