3 Simple Truths That Help Me UNLEASH DAILY SUCCESS

The funny thing about personal success, real success, is that it is achieved daily. You don't get to bask in the afterglow of previous success. You can't coast on the vapors of the past. Instead, success requires daily achievement in order for it to be sustained. The moment you look back fondly at past successes as a replacement for needing to do something NOW, you start to slide backwards. The three simple truths I'll share below REALLY WORK. They helped transform me from a writer that struggled to produce 2000 words daily to someone who can produce 12500+ words daily. You can benefit from these truths even if you are not a writer. If you produce sites, you can definitely use these truths to boost your QUALITY and PRODUCTIVITY. If you do email marketing, you can use these truths to GET MORE LEADS.

Why do these truths work? Simple-they free your mind from the unnecessary cluster and background noise of your daily activities. By focusing on TRUTH, you can ACHIEVE your daily to do list and MORE-you can actually put in work that helps move your life forward to even greater goals.

Truth #1: The More You Do Something, The Better You Get At It

I started out at 2000 words a day and I struggled for a long time because I did not want to do it day after day. I considered it a chore. I thought it was a hassle. When I learned Truth #1, I started looking at my daily writing as a CHALLENGE. I opened my mind to learning techniques to better writing. I asked myself: how can I learn more from what I am doing? How can I produce material that gets me to the next level? How can I produce better quality? How can I produce FASTER? The more I wrote, the more answers I came across. I didn't implement them all immediately. It took a while. The key is to KEEP AT IT. Insights come but it takes REPEATED ACTION for insights to GET A HOLD OF YOU and for you to change your actions. That's what Truth #1 taught me-I already have the answers. I just have to keep at it and keep pushing. RESULT: Now I am at the 12500+ word mark. My target is 30K per day at even higher quality levels.

Truth #2: Build And Use a System

Part of what made writing difficult for me was the fact that I did not have a system. I went about my work randomly. I'll write when I feel like it. I'll stop when I don't feel like writing. I also wrote only when 'inspired.' This destroys productivity. The key is TO PRODUCE EVEN WHEN YOU DON'T FEEL LIKE PRODUCING. This can be done if you have a system. I built my writing system from the lessons I learned from #1 above. I paid attention to how I was doing things and I figured out the things that I was doing right. I then made a SYSTEM based on the things that work for me. This helped me produce better material because each item I made was well-organized. Organization boosts productivity. Having a system that organizes and streamlines your work means you can do more-at a higher level of quality.

What are the hallmarks of a system?

It simplifies things
It breaks things down in easier to do parts
It helps you boost your quality control activities
It is modular: it helps you scale things up

Truth #3: Do To Learn

The most common problem people face when they do something is that they do a task with the mindset that it is a chore. They do things with the attitude that they just need to get through with that chore so they can do better things later in the day. This is wrong. This kills your motivation and slows you down. Instead, look at each task as an end in of itself. In other words, the reward for doing something is the fact you get to do that thing. Find enjoyment in learning from doing that task. Make that learning your key goal. When you do this, each thing you work on stops being a chore but an OPPORTUNITY.

By realizing and incorporating the three truths above, I was able to boost my quality, speed, and productivity. Most importantly, it provided me with the mindset to produce the daily SUCCESS, I need to get to my goals.

Please share your daily experiences with these truths or share your own productivity and goal completion truths.

I wish you much success and abundance in 2013,
Eugeni0

I really love #1 experience is the best teacher, too many fail to realize that you can read a thousand ebook and watch hundreds of hours of training material, but essentially learn nothing, experience is the best teacher.

Usually when I see lists of abstract, common-sense-based ideas, I use up half my willpower restraining myself from typing up an avalanche of insulting words.

But what you've said here is both right and understated. All of these concepts are integral to a successful career. But if someone would have told me that a few years ago, I wouldn't have listened.

I hope that at least a few people reading this will get the point. So let me simplify this and state that these techniques were integral in gaining financial independence:

#1: If you do what you can do, over and over again, you improve in areas you couldn't have imaged. It's those details that push you over your competitors. Anyone can master the basics, drop it, and move onto something else, but few are willing to go through the pain of doing something over and over until they get it perfect, down to the most minute of details.

#2: The system simplifies all decision making. I've had so many clients and struggling marketers ask me for advice because they are stuck on some tiny decision. If they had a system, there would be no question to ask. What if your system leads you to a poor decision? Fix the system. The system is there to move you, so stopping to think about anything is counter-productive.

#3: Do to learn. Theory is all good, and many people who come to WF are looking for theory. But I stress: Once you've got the theory down, put the books down! If you know enough about theory that you know what the 80/20 rule is, start applying it to how you spend your working time: 20% theory, 80%.

    Great post, OP
