Try something new for 30 days

Hi,

I ran into a lecture on Ted.com by Matt Cutts that offers to try something new for 30 days.

Matt's approach claims that if you try something new for 30 days, then it becomes a habit.

I really like his approach and I even follow it myself.

I think it can be really helpful in achieving both personal and business goals, so I just wanted to share this with you.

This is the link:

Would love to know your thoughts about this approach, and if you ever tried it before, did it work for you as well?

I think most people want a guarantee that their 30 days of effort will definitely "work" and produce results. But the truth is that nothing is guaranteed. We're dealing with nature. Nature can come in and wreck your ship at any time it chooses.

I think the true path is to do something because you love it and it inspires you. Because you want to do it.

I like the idea of committing to something for 30 days because you get to see the result and reaction that your consistent movements have achieved over a month.

I think people need more powerful stories to inspire them. I believe that the problem is not laziness, but lack of vision.

I have heard from many sources that it takes 28 days to 30 days to form a habit. It does seem to take around that amount of time for something to sink into your subconscious.
