You are never too old to learn something new. A few years ago I knew nothing about IM, heck I didn't even know anything about computers.... Now I'm making a living from my computer lol.
I participate in a lot of forums daily (inclduing WF), I read a lot from wikipedia and search a lot on google always to learn new stuff.
Does this pay off??
Of course it does! More knowledge = more money. Think about it, with the necessary knowledge you are always one step ahead of other people.
You could open up your own OFFLINE or ONLINE business.
You could become a webmaster.
You could become a programmer.
You could become an affiliate marketer.
ETC...

Even if you don't want to become anything, you can always wrap up the information that you learned, create an e-book and sell it!
