Do You Have Success Consciousness?

"Success is not to be pursued; it is to be attracted by the person you become". Jim Rohn

This is a very revealing quote. I thought I would share it here so we can have a discussion about how we develop and/or harness success consciousness.

Randy I understand it the way you do. By making efforts to develop oneself and grow, one attracts it.

It simply means that if you are a wonderful being you will attract success, but if you are a miserable one, you will attract nothing.
So you should develop yourself first and success will come...

Jade I think you got it right except that if you are "miserable" and keep thinking miserable thoughts you are more likely to attract miserable things in your life unless you train yourself to make the switch as much as you can. :-)

Along with developing yourself as a person, I believe you should track your success.

I have a journal that I have written my yearly and long-term goals in and then I have broken down these goals in order to easily pursue them.

By tracking your goals and successes, you can manage your progress towards the person you are trying to become.

I agree that keeping track is important so you can see and manage your progress as well as fine tune your goals.

People do want those things that you mentioned but they do not always do what is necessary to have them. A lot of us get discouraged, quit, get overwhelmed by negative thoughts. I agree with you that efforts and persistence are 2 qualities that are needed in order to grow and get the positive results they want.:-)

I think a clear vision of the person you would want to be and working hard will bring tons of success. Just make sure you concentrate on what you want and not - what you don't want. Because you just get the one, you think most about...

    Dear Maya2066,

I am seeking full comprehension of Mr. Rohn's message you are referencing. How is success "attracted" if it is by my own thoughts and actions that create the quality of life I experience?

I've read that you need to always focus on "money conscious activities" and not focus on lack of what we don't have. The moment we think lack, we loose! Any types of meditation book to recommend?
