One Small Tip for BIG Self-Improvement

Hey Warriors,

I wanted to share something with you that I have been doing for the past 2 weeks.

I am a musician and LOVE music. I listen to music everyday and it is a big passion of mine.

However, I am also passionate about learning how I can improve myself and my business.

For the past 2 weeks I have nearly replaced all the music I listen to with different audios and speakers.

Tony Robbins, Stefan Pylarinos, and Robin Sharma, to name a few.

I listen to their videos and speeches in the car, in the shower, when I am writing, at night, etc.

The results have been very rewarding.

You would be surprised at how much more you can learn by listening to just one audio a day.

So I want to know, has anyone else tried this?

Also, what are some good Audios/Speakers that you enjoy listening to?

Yes, I use my car to listen to tons of audio content. Tony Robbins, Brian Tracy and Brendon Burchard. Right now I am listen to "The Millionaire Messenger" by Brendon Burchard as an audio book in my car.

the problem with some music ..with vocals is that it has programming that can hinder success .. your brain is a muscle you can work it through a learning tape then relax it with certain music ..

though i like listening to country music.. the vocals in the songs by many of the female stars.. is loaded with terrible programming ..

I ran out of audios to listen to on my ride home this evening, so I actually had a country radio station on. I know exactly what you mean. Some of it just gives you a headache.

i have been listening to 4 minute a kpop band.. i don't understand much of what they say but the rythym of the music is more powerful than you get from much out there ..

if you listen to regular stuff learn to pick out the negative programinng in your favorite music and other music you listen to ..

I can't watch tv anymore and i don't think i have watched a full movie in a while ..ok when i watch tv i watch cooking shows haha ..make me want to eat great tasting wellp repared food instead of crap you warm up from boxes ..

i watch the news about 20 minutes a day.. because about 90 percent of that gets repeated through the day ..

let me tell you the best diet in the world ..when your feeling good .. put food in your mouth that tastes so good you chew it for ten or 15 seconds savoring the flavor ..a nd when you swallow it and it hits your stomach it just feels good and keep you feeling happy and your body feels energized instead of like you have just given it a ton of work to do it doesn't want to do ..

Get your digestive system healthy and keep it healthy ..

and forget all this crap about what is good for you and not good for you ..if it hits your stomach and your stomach feels like you should not have eaten that .. well forget the doctors and find stuff that make you stomach and your taste buds happy

I find that there needs to be balance. While I do enjoy audio books, I feel like I have to pay attention to them. So if I were trying to get some work done it would just distract. While music I just use as background noise. And for some reason I seem to get more work done with a little noise around.

I'm the same way Richard. You should check out Rainy Mood if you like listening to the rain as you work. I use it all the time and it relaxes me and helps me concentrate.

Yes when I was driving long distances I have played some great motivational CD's. The only thing with these type of CD's is in my opinion you really need to listen to them whereas with music you just sing along and you don't need to concentrate as much.

I agree. I also find that my mind wanders at times when I am listening to audios because they fill my head with some great ideas. I find myself listening to the same audio 2 or 3 times so I make sure I get all the points.

I love listening to Tony Robbins.

He gets me pumped up and motivated.

Bad idea listening to him at night though when I'm trying to get some sleep.

Found that out the hard way

      Thanks for the response Jeff!

I generally like to focus on one project before starting the next but I find that listening to audios while doing mundane things helps to spice up the experience and increase motivation. And who doesn't want that

I was doing the exact same thing years ago when i lacked motivation...

Noticed that listening to motivational tapes instead of music really got me into an action taking motion.

    Cheers,

I always loved to listen to motivational audios.

In fact, I listen to Tony Robbins and other speakers every single day for at least 10 minutes.

You can go to YouTube and find a lot of content there from these awesome speakers.

My all time best is Dale Carnegie Audio transcripts... his principles are really a gold mine. Even though I've read and listened to all of his books and training, doing so the next morning is refreshing. It's like I'm reminded everyday that it's okay to not worry and that I can make friends even with the worse person I come across for the rest of the day.

I am a believer in the value of motivational and training audio materials. However, when I am working (and it is mostly writing work), I need to focus and I find listening to training audios to be distracting and unproductive.

When I used to drive more on the highway, I would ALWAYS listen to training audios!

Now, if I want to listen to an audio and actually benefit from it, I have to either do only that, or be doing something that doesn't need my mind to be focused elsewhere.

If you check my home business website you will see that I am a huge fan of Brian Tracy materials.
