Awesome Steve Jobs Quote That Applies to All Marketers

"Your time is limited, so don't waste it living someone else's life. Don't be trapped by dogma - which is living with the results of other people's thinking. Don't let the noise of other's opinions drown out your own inner voice. And most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition. They somehow already know what you truly want to become. Everything else is secondary."

Yes this is a great quote. Steve Jobs sure lived his life according to this quote. And to me it makes perfect sense. Never let others opinions matter to you when you know what you want and how to be successful. If you follow your heart you will be sure to succeed.

I agree. Good words from the late Steve Jobs. I believe to that becoming radical and changing old mindset would also help us become the change we want to be. Because our time is really limited, so wherever we are or what crowd you are in, be the change in that area and influence people by the change you have in you.

I feel sorry for the newbies though. We are all inundated with so much information these days. Marketers try to push their idea and concept onto those that are starting off. Most of them end up starting off on the wrong footing.

I hope the above statement will be true for those starting up. They just need to stay focused on what they want to do instead of being swayed by marketers.

I have the late Steve Jobs quote right on my computer screen. He is absolutely right.

Learn to question the conventional. Someone else's way of achieving success doesn't mean anything. Someone else's way of running into failures doesn't mean anything as well. They can only be use for guidance and consideration. What work for someone else doesn't mean it'll work for you. What didn't work for someone doesn't mean it'll never work for you.

    Think for yourself.

    Great quote!

I just delivered a speech on Steve Jobs for my public speaking class and ran into this cool story.

So one day, when Steve was a kid his dad asked him if he would paint the fence around their house.

    Steve said sure.

Steve began painting the front and back sides of the fence. When his dad came outside to inspect his work, he said, "Steve, you did a great job on the front side, but you didn't do such a good job on the back side of the fence."

Steve replied, "Dad, that is because no one will see the backside of the fence."

To which his dad said, "We will son."

This test of character stuck with Steve for the rest of his life and when he was building one of the first Mac computers, he instructed his team to do something unusual.

He told them, "I want you guys to make the inside of this computer beautiful and stunning. The most beautiful inside of a computer that anyone has ever seen."

His team was confused. "Why would we do that? No one will see the inside of the computer?"

To this he responded, "we will."

The team went out and made the inside of the new computer the most beautiful thing ever before seen. It was a masterpiece.

As Steve was inspecting their work, much like his father has inspected his, he turned to his team and had one more request.

He asked them to sign the circuit board.

    More confused looks.

He said, "Sign the circuit board, because every artist signs his work."

We can learn a lot from Steve Jobs. He made sure things were perfect on the inside, and the out. He lived by several quotes including my favorite, "Think Different." Once you Think Differently than your competition, you will succeed.

Thanks for sharing this quote. There is another one that I like from Steve Jobs : "Sell dreams, not products".
