What is your motivation? Your answer might surprise you.
As a perfectionist, my primary motive for success was to avoid failure at all costs; which can only lead to inevitable failure. My motivation, my drive, my focus was the very thing holding me back from success. Fear had snuck in and was found in the most unexpected place.
It wasn't until I recognized this problem and changed my motive for success from the fear of failure to the faith of success that my success finally started to shine through. My work begin to flow a lot smoother as I was working towards success, opposed to my work being a burden only working only to avoid failure.
Also, the fear of failure prevents you from learning all that which needs to be learned before success can be claimed. Failure is a critical part in succeeding as it is only a new opportunity presenting itself.
You see, failure is only in the minds of people with fear, but failure doesn't exist. By fearing failure, failure is all that is noticed when ones comes to what is actually temporary defeat.
It is the fearless action taker meets so called "failure" head on, but to them it literally goes unnoticed, because the fearless action taker only notices an opportunity to learn. When that crucial lesson has been learned, a new approach is taken with this new found knowledge, and the cycle continues until success is finally met.
Fear is very tricky emotion that can be found in places completely unexpected. Absolutely nothing good can come from fear, don't let anyone tell you different.
So what drives you? What is your motivation for success? Are you driven by the faith of success, or the fear of failure?
Enjoy Life.
