How to overcome fear? I'm always afraid of the consequences. Always afraid to proceed and an unknown fear stops me from taking necessary steps. How to get rid of it?

You are experiencing "fear of the unknown". Just find the source of the fear and it will be easier to deal with it

    Here's a couple of tips. : )

    1. Embrace fear (and the feeling of "power/happiness" you get when you overcome fear. Remember everyone who is going anywhere in life will experience fear at least on a weekly basis. It's constant in a "successful" person’s life. There's nothing wrong with being afraid. In fact it's an opportunity to act courageously. : )

    2. Quantify what you're afraid of. (By writing it down on a piece of paper.) As GoDaddy Founder Bob Parsons said: "Very seldom will the worst consequence be anywhere near as bad as a cloud of "undefined consequences."

    3. Practice. The more you face a certain fear, the less you'll be afraid of that situation in the future. For instance the first 5 or 10 times you practice public speaking you will probably be afraid, however, every time you face that fear you realize nothing bad will happen and you become more relaxed and "confident."

    4. Read "Feel The Fear And Do It Anyway" (Susan Jeffers.) It's simply an amazing book from a wonderful woman that will teach you how to deal with fear.

    HTH.

Absolutely. It's like riding a roller coaster it may look like a daunting task at first but do it a couple times and you start to enjoy the feeling. So just go out there and confront what ever is holding you back!

The best way I've heard fear described is that it is something that is out of alignment with yourself.

It's that alarm that goes off inside you and tells you something is off. Have you noticed how similar the feelings fear and excitement are to each other? They're the same energy, but they're being experienced in different ways.

"Face your fear" didn't become a catch phrase because it sounded cool. It's a simple, to the point, diagnosis.

Feel that fear. Examine it. Something isn't lining up between who you are and what you are saying you want to experience. In order to find what isn't working for you you need to feel it and let it raise all the concerns and thoughts you'd have as if it were real. This way you can locate what's causing this fear at a deep level.

You'll know something is out of alignment if the root cause suddenly seems silly and doesn't make any sense to you. A lot of "irrational fears" could probably be solved this way too, such as fear of snakes and spiders. You know it's not logical to fear some things, so why do you keep doing it? Feel it, examine it, and see if it's in line with you. It will likely not be since you're feeling fear from it.

This is not a different thing but another way to look at it: What do you gain, how is it helping you, what are you learning from, fearing whatever this thing is? If you are still using this fear for growth then you may not want to let it go. Some beliefs are good to hold onto even if the response doesn't make you feel comfortable.

Sometimes you have to jump when you don't know if you're going to land or not.

If you believe this is holding you back then that belief may also benefit some examination. The red flags of an off-alignment are the same though. It will seem silly and illogical to you. In that moment of realizing how odd it sounds you can let it go.

I'm not sure I helped, but this method of self examination has helped me a lot, including in some of the popular manifestation topics of late.

Fear will always be present, it is our human nature to have that. But what really matters is our courage to fight the fear. Because being courageous doesn't mean you have no fear, it only means they decide to fight their fear and acted upon it. It is okay to have fear, as long as you don't get to be a slave to it.

Here is the thing about fear. Instead of thinking of all the risks, start looking at the benefits. Start looking at what may happen if you DON'T do what you are afraid of. This should motivate you to overcome the fear.

Nothing absolutely nothing exist without having first began as a thought.

Fear is a physical manifestation of a thought.

You are the producer, writer, director and lead actor in 'YOUR" movie, which plays 24 hours 7 days a week in your subconcious mind.

Sit down and write your movie, then live that movie, feel that movie, experience all the emotions of that movie all throughout the day.

Begin each day and end each day with having at least watched and played that movie in your mind.

Imagine yourself all alone in the biggest theater you have ever been to and watch your movie.

Your subconcious cannot tell the difference between what is real and not real, and once you you convince your subconcious of your movie, your reality, then your conciousness and the laws of the universe will move heaven and earth to manifest your movie into physical reality.

    Just my take

Fear is a good thing to me. I think it'd be best for me to tell you my situation real quick.

I have a baby to look after during the day and I just recently start a local biz to offer services to pub owners. I have never become a sales person before. Long story short, I was sweating all over trying to knock on the door one by one, pitching, getting the gatekeeper rejection, owners not interested, we will think about it later. Leave me your card, and I'll call you etc.

It was hard for me at first. NO sales after 2 weeks. Then, I tweaked my pitch, changed my offers with free trial. Do some free works and doors open up.

My lesson is just to become positive. Stay strong. Keep changing path if one doesn't lead you to the success door.

You can think all day long. Just taking action first, and think about how to improve it later. Failure breeds success. It's numbers game.

    Hope I somewhat motivate you.

One method is to create a ritual of doing what you fear and stick to it.
Example if you're afraid to record your own videos, just create a ritual to record it no matter what on a particular day in a week and post on youtube.

Continue doing that until you no longer feel the fear anymore

Turn you fear/ego into a person and "talk" to it. This was suggested to me by a Cognitive Behavioral Expert. It's very common to doubt yourself as society in general is very self limiting. You have been conditioned to think "the worst is going to happen".

    Challenge your fear/ego
