How do you stay consistent?

Hi there fellow Warriors,

Creating momentum for any online project is a very powerful way to start generating better results. A big reason why I am doing a 30 Day Launch Challenge for my new website is to create momentum and also to develope the habit of taking consistent action.

Over these last 6 days I have had to plan out the time I would be able to spend working on my most important project. Since I am a freelance Director & Cameraman I get calls for work at random times and sometimes they are at the last minute. So my schedule is unpredictable and I need to be prepared ahead of time with a plan on how I will still be able to dedicate time to completing my most important tasks.

I use a couple of tools such as Evernote and a reminder service called FollowUpThen and both have seemed to help me on staying consistent with getting tasks done daily.

What are some ways you stay consistent each day in taking action online and keeping the momentum on your projects?

-Randy

I think the thing that most helps me to stay consistent is keeping my Internet Marketing purpose and goals at the forefront of my thoughts every day. That, and a daily reminder of the rewards I expect to eventually reap from the marketing actions I do every day.

By themselves, the actions can sometimes become boring and (at times) almost meaningless. But when I connect them to my purpose, my goals and especially my anticipated rewards, then they take on renewed value for me and that motivates me to stay focused, committed and active, daily.

Great point GT. I forgot to mention I put my goals for each project on the front screen of my phone using the Evernote App. So every time I turn my screen on I see what I am working towards.

    I would agree with GT.
Before you start your day try to put your eye in your goals and every time you achieved something really good don't be so overwhelmed because you might be doing some procastination which you are not aware.

Very true about the procrastination. I sometimes trick myself into thinking I am moving forward until I realize at the end of the day that I accomplished very little.

Creating a checklist is a great way to know you're getting things done but honestly only your heart knows if you're accomplishing something that really makes your life better.

Easy to say but being consistent and maintain composure is what i consider as a difficult one, change happens as always and shit happens when your pants are down.

Updating is huge for me. I store a bunch of ideas and tasks in my Evernote inbox and then send email reminders to update my list at least twice a day.

This allows me to go about my day focusing on one task at a time, knowing I will be organizing my list to make sure that the most important task is being handled each day.

How do you stay consistent when you have a full time job followed by monday - kung fu, tuesday - music production, wednesday - climbing, thursday - karate with my son, friday - football + picking up the kids for the weekend, saturday - kids, sunday - kids and football.

Hard to squeeze in IM every day! Mental toughness is a must. My goals are ALWAYS at the front of my thoughts... get out the rat race as fast as possible!
