How Do You Define Success?

Is it simply making a certain amount of money or is there more?

Success to me isn't about money necessarily.

It's about being able to live the life I want and being in control of my own destiny.

I could never work for the man again.

I think success to me is knowing that every single second of effort I put into my business is done to benefit myself and no one else. Unlike when you work a 9-5 job and you are only working hard to make other people rich.

Success to me means being happy with my current position in life. I'd put love over money. I'd also put being able to do what I want to do each day and appreciate life over having X amount of money.

Love is important, my wife is the most important thing to me...more important than any client or bank account.

Success don't only happen just by achieving the life you have always dreamed of. It's about accepting what you have, working real hard for it and turning it into something far greater. It's also about having people who love and care for you. Success is about living for a purpose. If you are very rich but don't have someone to spend it with, that's one tough life and I wouldn't trade my life for that.

success ..waking up every day..having a reason to get out of bed (or a pretty lady that makes staying in bed a little longer fun ) ...eating healthy food. making plenty of money to support the lifestyle i want at that time. and have productive activities where i make money from doing things i enjoy ..

personally i have a zen approach to success i don't want to own anything myself ..but i want the ability to have access to anything i want to experience and have fun ..

this suffering and lack crap is no fun anymore

Great question & my answer is defined as:

success is giving me the choice of when, whom & where I conduct my business.

It must include fun, freedom & most importantly love for those close to you.

The ability to help those less fortunate, train, teach mentor :-)

In "The Strangest Secret" Earl Nightingale defines it as "the progressive realization of a worthy ideal". In other words, it's the working towards the thing or things you want, not the actual achievement itself. If you are making progress towards your goal, you are a success even if you don't get there, as long as you keep trying.

Success to some may be relative, but to me success is overcoming simple and hard obstacle with peace and love inside of me. Love motivates me towards success and peace is irreplaceable thing for me, it bring me happiness, joy and a sound mind.

Success is something that I never look to others to define, but I totally enjoy hearing other people's ideas.

I think success is a very general term that would revolve around strong reference experiences. Ultimate success for me is being the person I want to be and having the skills of the kind of person I admire.

Check out "Mastery," by George Leonard. That's the kind of success I want. I want to be a poet-monk-warrior-marketer, if that makes any sense lol.

Success is for me, whenever :
      • I have reached my goals
      • any action/deed of mine makes me or others happy
      • whenever I could overcome obstacles or difficulties
