The Man Who Never Went To The Sea
His name was Smith,
he was mighty and bold.
He built ships
that sailors would behold.
He carved so fine,
others thought it divine.
But a day came,
when this would no longer hold.
One day said his friend,
why not ride the waves
in a ship you build?
Have you forgotten your childhood dream?
He dreamt of the waves,
going up and down.
Of the moments when the sea
would roar and frown.
But the fear of death
destroyed what he could be.
Today they call him the man
who never went to the sea.
