Whatever challenges you face, look into the future instead of the problem or past. Rather than being concerned about who did what and who is to blame, let your energy and attention focus on where you want to be and what you want to achieve. Let your subconscious mind have a clear picture of your ideal future and thereafter take whatever action you can take and begin to move in that direction. Do not forget to assemble your thought, your mind and your mental picture on the future.

  • Good advice not to be pulled into the problem itself or past stories about the present problem.
    Encouraging post. Thank you.

Good advise, however, there are times that things got out of hand and you can't control your emotions no matter how you try.

You are right Anne0521. Sometimes we find it difficult to control our emotions. But the hallmark of a man is to learn to control his emotions

ace nice post.. i have had a similar concept rolling around in my head .

about 6 months ago i heard a message .. and in it the teacher said "the best way to live in the now is to have the ability to look far out into the future "

this gives you an idea of what you should learn now, do now or even things you enjoy now that may not be there much longer like quality red meat for under 10$ a pound ..

once you set yourself on who you want to be then..and stop trying to get away from who you have been.. many of the problems you will have actually will pull away thing that do not fit anymore .

it is painful ..but we all now have the ability ..to feel the pain of what is happening now but put in perspective going forward .

now for me a bit after i picked up this mindset it hit a very hard point where on multiple levels things that did not fit anymore where removed or started to be removed ..there are a lot of dreams and desires we have that compensate for who we use to be ..but do not fit into who we want to be .

When you sit back and think of something in this context: "Will it matter 5 years from now?" I believe you get a perspective that you otherwise cannot see in the moment you are in.

It is hard to keep things in check sometimes, but you've got to push through and realize there are certain things out of our control.

I too like looking in to the past sometimes. I don't dwell on it but it's always good to call on that experience to make sure you don't end up making the same mistakes all over again.

i dont think looking into the past is good for me. it would just make me depressed and bad thing will follows. so i prefer to figure out the future by doing something good.

Thank you all for your contributions. Just an addendum. As they say, there is a blessing inherent in every problem. Most breakthrough are wraps in a problem. The bigger the breakthrough, the bigger the problem you will receive but if you look for the breakthrough, you will find it. That includes looking into the future.

John Maxwell says "to move forward today, you must learn to say goodbye to yesterday's hurts, tragedies and baggage. You can't build a monument to past problems and fail forward"
