How do you overcome uncertainty?

it's good to always have a sound plan and to have confidence
in ourselves when we are trying to manage risks.

though sometimes us warriors find ourselves in a position where we are faced
with a situation where we find that crippling annoying uncertainty that we
have to find a way forward.

I just wanted to ask fellow warriors their way for overcoming uncertainty and gaining confidence in uncertain situations?

    • When uncertainty strikes because of difficult choices to be made or a "catch 22" situation develops where no matter what you do you will seem to come out damaged.

The only remedy I have found for this is to choose the most correct path by your internal judgement and simply move with the results.

Remember, only 50% of the time will the outcome not be to your liking. These are great odds. And should the experience be less to your liking, perhaps the lesson within the circumstance will reveal itself and ultimately a good outcome will be earned, yes, earned.

Back up(or zoom out) until you find things you're certain of. It can be difficult to see a clear path when you're in the middle of a stressful situation, so take yourself out of it. Get back to things you are 100% certain of and then move slowly forward from there.

Certainty and judgement are developed like any other skill, through repetition. Specifically, repetition while paying very close attention and learning as much as you can(good, bad and otherwise) as you go through each iteration.

If you're faced with a confusing business decision, it's only confusing if you're unclear on what it is you want your business to do. You may be distracted by something that appears to be an opportunity, but opportunity only exists relative to a goal. Clarify your goals and what you're doing, then look at the situation again.

there is a saying.. 'uncertain is certain'
so its better to get prepared for any such
uncertain prior to its occurrence.. so that
you will not be surprised all of a sudden..
and to overcome its always possible cause
there is a seed for solution in all adversities
and just believe in it and focus your attention
to think of a solution to overcome and you
will certainly overcome it no matter what..

Uncertainty is one of the human needs, just look at it, smile, and thank it for if it wasn't for uncertainty nobody would have faith. If our faith wasn't challenged it would never be strengthened, and it is strengthened by how clear our vision is and what we are doing to ensure we get there.

We need uncertainty, so embrace it. Know that you'll always do the best that you can and there really is no failure, just lessons.

    Journey on, my friend,

Well Uncertainty is not exactly a need. See in many things in our life, We dont have an option. Lets say Every action has an equal an opposite reaction (NEWTON). So when there is certainty, the world has to be balanced right, then comes Uncertainty, which creates balance. So whenever your certain, remember the reaction will be uncertainty. Your life would be certain with uncertainty around.

I overcome uncertainty in life by preparing for and/or ignoring uncertainty that I cannot control, and focusing on and problem solving with regards to uncertainty that I can possibly control.

We cannot control every situation, most especially uncertainties. However, what we can do about this is to take risks- take the best course of action and just do it.

Get in the game. To many people stay on the sidelines because they are unsure about things. For example, I see this all of the time when it comes to making money online.

Real life experience is the best teacher. Once you know how to do it the uncertainy goes away. The only way to play is to get in the game.

You don't... the toughest lessons is to learn is to learn how to embrace change and uncertainty. I think humans feel comfortable with the status quo.

    Alot of different opinions,

I think my best way to overcoming uncertainty is developing a strong foundation of faith, once we have a strong foundation everything else will fall into place and then we can be certain things can workout.

  • I have a more direct approach. When uncertainty begins to multiply fearful thoughts in your mind it's time to "STAMP THEM OUT".

I mean stamp or stomp them out of your mind, out of your life. Who is giving them permission to set up residence in YOUR mind in the first place? Ask yourself this! Then act accordingly, . . .with what remains when the dust settles: certainty.

  • Confidence builds you up. I would suggest to tell ourselves that killing and overcoming the uncertainties is the only way to build that confidence up. Always look at the outcome of overcoming the difficulties and you would be motivated. Tell yourself it pays off!

Being comfortable with ambiguity and uncertainty is part of business. You are never going to have all the information; in fact, you'll be lucky to have 70% of the information. Making a plan and moving forward are what's most important. You can adjust as you go.

You can always use the old Ben Franklin: draw a line down the middle of a piece of paper and create two columns. Left column is FOR the decision, right is AGAINST. Write down all the reasons FOR and AGAINST and tally up. You can even weight these reasons. This is the simplest way of turning qualitative into quantitative and getting a handle on how you really feel about a decision that I've found. And because it's simple, it can be the one you will actually use.

Taking risks is part of life and being successful in business everyone has had some degree of uncertainty, however once you have some success it gives you confidence that you can accomplish your goals. Failure is also part of life and it is how you handle it when it comes your way, do learn from it and move on or quit.

"A great one from the book of Peter 5:7, "Casting all your anxieties on him, because he cares for you." Myself, I'm a Christian marketer and that is where I always turn and how I deal with uncertainty and doubt. If you're not a Christian, I understand and get that sort of thing may not be for you, especially being I'm a former atheist. Whatever your belief-set, find that quiet, still voice of confidence inside of yourself, and tap into whilst meditating or praying on your success and focusing on your positivity.

Lots of people throw darts at you while trying to succeed in this Internet marketing thing. Find someone who believes in you, a confidante and an accountability partner who will encourage and lift you up, and avoid those who bring you down or laughingly doubt!

For me everything has a certain amount of uncertainty attached to it. I also think that the decisions that have the most amount of uncertainty attached to them are the ones that will pay the highest dividends if you just go for them.
