Asking The Right Questions

If you want a successful online business, then you must learn to ask the RIGHT
questions.

I got an email just the other day from another marketer I follow pretty close.

He talked about how most beginning entrepreneurs ask the wrong questions. He
also explained how asking the RIGHT questions, can be the difference in
success or failure in this business.

I've pasted part of that email below.

Read through it a couple times - It's important stuff...

Internet marketing can be a difficult profession, but it's not complicated.

If marketers consistently practice the fundamentals ...scheduling their time,
communicating with their prospects, sharing their belief in the value of their products
and services, following up...

...they'll be successful.

But I can't tell you how many times last weekend I heard something like, "Justin, I've
went through Internet Marketing 101. What's next?"

My answer was always the same...

"NOTHING!"

The problem is not a shortage of new ideas, but a lack of understanding that the "old"
ideas still work.

This may not be true with technology, which changes every 5 minutes...

...But when it comes to the principles we build our businesses and lives on, the old stuff is the good stuff.

Think about it...

How often in this business have you brought in the "blue" program, the "red" program,
and the "green" program ...All inside of ninety days.

...Only to have them make little difference anyway?

Do you know why that is?

Because there are no quick fixes for long term problems.

We don't need the "new" thing or the "hot" topic.

What we need to do is practice the fundamentals (like personal accountability) day in and day out.

"When are we going to hear something new?"

...is the wrong question.

The right one is...

"how can I apply what I'm hearing? ...Even if I've heard it before?"

That last sentence is probably the most important sentence in the entire email.

If you constantly ask yourself the RIGHT questions, and focus on the RIGHT
activities, your business will start to take off faster than you could ever imagine.

And that leads me to my next point - Focusing on the RIGHT activities.
