Looking for recommended books

Hello everyone.. I am looking for some good books that you recommend for the topic of motivation and general self improvement.

I loved Tim Ferris' books, Tony Robbins is a great example as well.

Do you have a book that you would hands down recommend to anyone looking for this?

4HWW is great for getting started.

Currently best motivational book I'm reading is Arnie's Autobiography. It is fascinating when you are understanding how he sets goals, recognises his own motivations, how he views the world etc etc.

And who can argue with his successes?

Funnily enough - at one point he ran a mail order newsletter from which he supplied articles, interviews and his own protein shakes!

A new book out recently is called 'Into The Wind' by a young promising author Jake Ducey. I would recommend that one.

I would read Chicken Soup for the soul and also read Chicken soup for the entrepreneurs soul. Those 2 books, by the same authors, should be read for motivation.

By the way, the authors are Jack canfield and Mark Victor Hansen.

Currently reading 7 Habits Of Highly Effective People. So far, very detailed & based on theory.

I would give it a 6/10 based on value of time spent reading.

A lot of people highly recommended this book but I'm more of a guy who prefers authors who writes based on their experience over scientific theory.

If you are a guy who likes theory stuff, then this book is a definite 10/10.

I would also recommend Persuasion Engineering... there's a book and a DVD set that goes along with it.

It's been super helpful to me and I think it's some of the best training out there.

After reading hundreds (not a few thousand) books over the last twenty-five years I have finally narrowed down my final 25 best books ever for self-improvement. I have read most of the books already mentioned above and still can’t tell you how much the books below have been of the greatest help to me. It’s more about the categories they represent than the particular books listed. For example Eckhart Tolle talks about being in the present moment so any good books on that subject would be excellent. On the other hand – the inner game books by Gallwey were some of the first on the market and still seem to be the best in my opinion. But generally it is the principles found in the books that many people are writing about that are more important than my actual list.

Let me know if you want to know why a particular book made the list or what I would recommend you get out of it. Isn’t it time we finally actually become successful and quit wondering about what to do?

    1. Being in the present moment - Eckhart Tolle

    2. Crucial Conversations by Kerry Patterson, Joseph Grenny, Ron McMillan, Al Switzler

    3. The Inner Game of Golf by W. Timothy Gallwey

    4. The Inner Game of Work: Focus, Learning, Pleasure, and Mobility in the Workplace by W.

    Timothy Gallwey

    5. The Dark Side of the Light Chasers by Debbie Ford

    6. Living Your Dreams: Using Sleep To Solve Problems And Enrich Your Life by Gayle Delaney

    7. Men Are from Mars, Women Are from Venus by John Gray

    10. DISC Personality Profiling

    11. The Alcoholism & Addiction Cure: A Holistic Approach to Total Recovery by Chris Prentiss

    17. A Brief History of Everything by Ken Wilber

I'm a huge fan of the book "Write it Down". It helped me develop the habit of writing down all of my short, medium and long term goals.

It's also a great motivation booster, since the goals you write down are concrete. I also review my goals daily to make sure they are in my mind at all times.

i'd recommend how to stop worrying and start living by dale carnegie because it deals with all the anxieties we grow up with and most of that anxiety comes in the form of uncertainty.

and when we're doing business on the internet, there's bound to be plenty of uncertainty.

one interesting thing heard from the audiobook was that if you analyze your fears by ask the whys about your fear, most of the time it will be because the plan is unorganized.

it's really cool, and you can apply it to anything like 'what do i do with my life?'

then you start planning that out by doing what you love and you'll find that a lot of the fears that plagued you disappear!
