How to Get $1,000 More in Offline Coninuity With What We do Best...

Hey fellow warriors...a little story about what happened to me yesterday and hope it helps you!

I was meeting an existing offline client of mine to show her the 'finished' 30 minute audio CD recording we did together a few weeks ago in my office as I needed her approval before 'real production' using ebay/kunaki/aweber/paypal integration.

She loved the intro and outro of the interview - this was simply royalty free music combined with a voice over artist i hired for $35 (yes - $35...shhh don't tell your offline clients those prices...they are used to ad agency's charging $500 to $1000 for that...no kidding!)

So she then casually said...

"Maria, i know I bought your entire 'big kahuna' package...just wondering if you also just help with info-product creation like this CD as my husband would like to produce one on his area of expertise"

Hmmmm...how long do you think it took me to say...

"Well of course we offer that service...it costs around $1,000 depending on the length of the content and graphics needed etc."

she didn't blink...


So...what the lessons of the story are:

1. We often forget our own clients know other people in their "Zone of Influence" that may not own a local business which we think is our target market....

- they know people who -

- have a need

that need is to create an info-product...

which we as IMr's rock at?

make sense?

2. And that info-product creation is a 'service' we can offer/start advertising on our website etc. for at least $1,000

Shoot -i don't advertise that now...smack on the head eh?

So just wanted to share an offline continuity model you can get with your existing clients...

..or simply another source of revenue with other clients...

For her husband...we will be creating a

- 30 minute audio
- 10 part video series (the first one being a 'promo movie trailer' style one...

A person could just focus on this one offline revenue model alone and pull in fast cash right away...

Oh- and don't forget to get your $1,000 (or more if you want to charge more) upfront 100% in full!

        There lies the beauty of working together for all. Though i have done a couple
        of info products, (DUH) on my part, i never thought about listing it on my
        services page as an info product. Will be adding over the weekend, another
        service to drop into my Continuity Model, I love it. Thanks for sharing the wealth

      If it is a good product, that you think can sell well, I'd modify that to "Around $1,000 PLUS 25% of the revenue. If you want it done as a work for hire, then it would be around $2,000-2500." At that point, you can introduce adding the promotion to the piece, again for pay and/or a higher slice of the revenue. Then, once it's done, you need to add in the upsell creation (or even just setup if an affiliate product), again, with an upfront fee and revenue share.

      After all, you want this to have some "coninuity" to it (whatever that is).

    Awesome Maria. Seriously I have learned more from you in the past 5 weeks then at any other time online. More importantly, the actual step by step guidelines, the brainstorming and webcasts are just invaluable. I never ever thought I could coherently talk or explain any of this to any one-I have always been afraid of sales, I always used to confess that I couldn't 'sell myself out of a paper bag' I stopped saying that!

    I wish I had found you before I closed on one of my video clients-it would have saved me so many hassles. Thanks to Robert for explaining those personality types also would have helped with that last client as well.

    Chris has been a real trooper, I know how challenging those webcasts must have been when no one is responding by phone, however I speak for myself and say a big thank you for all the info you share and the clarity in which you share it.

    Look forward to getting my first offline client so I can get to one of your gatherings to meet everyone and learn some more.

    Whew! Today has been a doozy!

    Maria, I did not use CL for my new prospect but... I did for my sale people. So far I have 6 people who are ALL IN and a bunch of people who are interested but wanted to learn more.

    After such fast response, I've been working all day trying to prepare some "simple" training materials and scripts for the sales agents! OMG

    For my new prospect, I used email marketing - getting info from reviewing websites in my local suburban city and just sent out 12 personalized emails offering to review their current marketing strategies free of charge.

    What I also did for my new "sales team" to "qualify" them and weed out the nay-sayers, was to go to Free Conferece Calls and set up a recording letting them know EXACTLY what they would be required to do and how they could earn $100 per client just for a 'warm' referral. It has went well! After the call, they were instructed to email or text me if they were interested to move forward with my training and get the "details".

    It has been a day! LOL

    Thanks so much for your inspiration. I think the hardest part is just getting that first client. That's where I am at this point, but I feel that will change soon.
