Are you a "whatever-it-takes" person?

Who doesn't want to be successful?

Everybody wants to achieve success, to reach that plateau of freedom and realization were you can say "I made it".

But how many people have the "whatever-it-takes" attitude?

And what exactly is a "whatever-it-takes" attitude?

1 Know your talents and your weaknesses

A "whatever-it-takes" person knows he does not become a master at everything, he will concentrate on his talents and make strategic alliances with other people who's talents are his weaknesses.

Mediocre people have the tendency to make alliances with great affinity to themselves, with the same strengths and the same weaknesses, people who think like them. These type of alliances do not complement each other, but usually create conflicting relationships.

2 Stepping stones are good

A "whatever-it-takes" have patience and perseverance even when he has to take many detours on his way to his goals, and dreams.

Mediocre people will just complain about the difficulties and give up their dreams at the first detour.

3 Storms don't last forever

A "whatever-it-takes" will go through storms that are part of life; holding on to the ship's helm to maintain direction, not giving up even in the scariest part of the circumstances.

Mediocre people will let go of the ship's helm at the first sign of the storm, struggle to survive and when the storm passes they will have lost direction.

4 Believing is see in it

A "whatever-it-takes" holds strong in his mind and his heart his goals regardless of the circumstances and regardless of what other people say or think. A "whatever-it-takes" believes in herself or himself, he can see with his mind and feel with his heart his dreams as if they are already a reality.

Mediocre people will be discouraged by negative comments, their confidence is not on themselves or their dreams, they believe what other people say or think and they cannot see past the circumstances they are currently experiencing.

Yes we all want to be successful and there are no specific pre-requisites to achieve success. Success is not only for a chosen few, what really makes the difference is to have the "whatever-it-takes" attitude or settle for mediocrity.

    Very good post Scherezade!

It made me smile as the mindset I've been forcing myself to have recently is actually the same as the "whatever-it-takes" one you mentioned above!

I chose entrepreneurship over further education despite being laughed at by my friends and family..

I recently hit the "RESTART" button on my life, read my personal blog to find out how I did it :)

  • I am glad that you mentioned persistence. I see a lot of people who think that if they put in long days for a week and don't get results it means that the program isn't working for them.

We have to remember that life itself is a learning experience, allow ourselves to make mistakes without the blame, with the understanding that the mistakes are not failures, but just learning experiences.

thank you for this thread Scherezade. If we take our failure as a MOTIVATION to learn from it and be determined to make it better, then we can get success.

Life is like going to school, we come here to learn and to grow, each experience is like a test, if we learn and past the test we get promoted to next grade, if we don’t learn we will go through the experience as many times as necessary until we learn, so it is very wise to meditate every time we go through a difficult experience, or failure, and see what is lesson behind.

I'll do whatever it takes to be successful, as long as I do not violate my own morals or values along the way.

It's a fact, you can't achieve anything without determination, but it's also a fact, that without certain amount of inteligence you won't achieve anything big.
Your statement is false as much as the same statement with those words replaced.

Another thing is the fact, that our potential is so big that we are able to surpass majority of society without being more clever, but being more determined instead.

mediocre people freak out when you suggest they should be responsible fot things that happen to them and what is in their lives ..

so they react the same way every tie certain things happen.. instead of chosing to respond differently ..or even become aware of their reaction .

Internet marketing isn't just about money, it's about you and your mindset.

If u have the right mindset to help more people and free them from their struggles, you can make more money than you think.

Or should i say, the money will come itself.

Also we have to remember that when you approach work as you mentioned

“If u have the right mindset to help more people and free them from their struggles”

Of course money will flow, because we are not thinking just on the self, but are establishing an interchange, like a road were the energy flows freely in both directions, the good your deliver and the pay you receive.

      Thank you for your imput

I am. I do whatever my mentor tells me because what he is doing works. I also have been able to show others how to do it. If you don't have desire or persistence your success will only be a learning experience. The success of others is how you really succeed in life.

Whatever it takes is whatever it takes. We all want to succeed but not all are willing to walk the extra mile, hour an extra hour, sweat a little more and climb a little higher. I am currently writing an ebook and I must finish this by September - whatever it takes. You know why? At 65 yrs old, this is my last bet in earning a living. Now, that is whatever it takes.
