Rich Man (Woman)/Poor Man (Woman) Thinking

Right now thought we could dive into 2 different ways of looking at something.

Now in the beginning of our journey, we talked about the 2 power questions, remember?

They were how can I and what can I do.

Now we’re going to speak about the 2 different ways of looking at something. You might call it one of “laws of successful people”.

What are the 2 different ways?

A unsuccessful man will look at an opportunity and think to himself...”How much will this cost me?”

However, the successful man will look at that same opportunity and ask…”How much will this make me?”

Maybe there’s a widget you need for your business. You know it will save you time, make you money and make things easier, but it may cost a pretty penny.

You can ask simply…”how much will this cost me?” or you can look at the positive and think like the successful and ask…”how much will this make me?”

If it brings you in a better return on investment with time and or money, then it’s definitely an investment not a cost or a wasted expense.

Basically it comes down to the 3 wealth principles…

1-You have to believe it’s possible

2-You have to think like the wealthy

3-Look at and hear the opportunity in front of you, ask “how much will this make me?” and then take action immediately.

You’ll be amazed at the amount of opportunities open up right before your very eyes.

It's always good to look at things positively. Well, not always but most of the time. I love the idea of instead using the word "cost", we change it to "make". There's a really huge difference and just thinking about it, it surely has a positive effect.

I completely agree, Rich Dad Poor Dad was the first finance-related book the I read. And it completely changed my way of thinking about money and the way I view success today.
