Inspiration for college student

Ok so here is my situation,

I am a college student studying a double degree program, but I'm still in my first semester. The first one just ended and went quite smooth in fact but I haven't progressed in IM. I was wondering...

How can one like me who is busy with school work be able to manage my time properly and remain inspired/motivated to continue IM?

Can people post their experiences on how they went through such a phase or how they kept themselves from leaving IM?

or more importantly, what do you guys think I should do to be successful in both? Should I just focus on studying and give up on the other??

Please give me something guys

Cheers!!
Keith

I'm in my second year of college so I know what you're going through. I put most of my focus into studying for my classes and completing my homework. Any free time I have I spend it on my internet marketing business. I usually do my studies during the morning and afternoon and I do my internet marketing during the night.

You have to figure out how to manage your time on your own because I don't know your schedule and how difficult your classes are. If you really want to be a successful internet marketer you may have to give up an hour or two of sleep or make sacrifices such as, not hanging out with friends on the weekends or chasing girls.

I actually just finished studying for my American Literature class not too long ago and now I'm spending an hour or so doing I.M.

Even if you only have an hour a day to devote to I.M. that is still better than nothing.

I'm facing the same problem too, but not with college classes, but with a demanding full time job. And the issue is not with time because you can always find free time one way or the other, but with focusing your full attention on a given task.

I would suggest that you spend 5 days a week on your college courses, then 1 or 2 days a week on your IM stuff. Try not to shift your attention and effort back and forth because you will lose focus and become less efficient. Make the best of your time

Yeah time is not that big as compared to focusing. Getting swamped with school work and your case your job then still going for IM

But I will try, I will do my best to keep my focus

Keith... staying focussed on IM and committing to an hour or two everyday alongside your studies will depend on one thing only - your reason. Why do you want to do IM? What can it give you? Where do you see yourself in 1 years time? What is your goal? What is your dream lifestyle and can IM give you that?

If you don't have a strong enough reason or a clear enough goal you are just cruising and hoping that something works out and that you don't quit IM. Write down your goals and then don't stop until that happens. Anything is possible if you want it badly enough.

Does writing your goal really work?

I would never give up on IM... keep learning and taking action, since the skills you learn can help you be self dependent. That said, a degree is still valuable and you should put your full focus into that until you pass. You can still make slow progress with the IM though if you really want to.

See if you can find even an hour a day, or couple hours a week to sit down and learn something. Try and devote half your time to learning and half the time taking action. Try and have a little side project like a website or blog, since you can build these slowly. As long as you keep working on them they will increase in value and could be ready for some serious business by the time you finish college.

How is your IM career while busy with schoolwork? and do you think it would be possible to succeed in the same level as others who don't need to go to school?

Cheers and good luck to you Wish you the best in school and in IM

Doing IM while taking college classes requires a lot more discipline and determination. I've been doing IM for a couple years now so I know what needs to be done in order to increase my income and my success, and the most important thing is persistence and consistency. As long as you do something to build your business everyday and you don't give up you will be fine.

Yes you can succeed at the same level as others and even at a higher level if you work hard and smart. Like I said, you have to learn to manage your time. You have to develop a "No Excuses" mindset where you do whatever it takes to find time to devote at least 1 hour or more to your IM business a day.

Write your goals down, and think about the life you will be able to live if you do what needs to be done every day and don't make excuses.

Also, don't forget about school holidays especially summer vacation. During the summer I spend 5-8 hours a day on my business. When school gives holidays I spend extra time on my business.

Are there others here just like me struggling to work on both school and IM work?
