Each individual has his own reason for allowing change to take over but most of the time the underlying reasons are those bits of painful experiences which leaves the individual with no better option than to change and aspire for improvement.

Looking on the brighter side, the motivation to change cannot only be derived from the negative aspects of life. There are those happy and inspiring moments which can also be used as a motivation to become better. Even those messages from a book or from another person can be a good source of motivation to improve oneself.

Below are some tips on how to stay motivated despite the ups and downs in life:

A. Achieve your dreams. As much as possible, avoid negative people, things and places. Focus on your goal and never take your eyes off that goal, no matter what obstacles may be placed along your way. Eleanor Roosevelt once said, "the future belongs to those who believe in the
beauty of their dreams."

B. Believe in yourself, and in what you can do. Have faith that you can achieve what you wanted to achieve.

C. Consider things on every angle and aspect. Motivation comes from determination. To be able to understand life, you should feel the sun from both sides in order to weigh things up and establish an assurance that decisions are fairly.

D. Don't give in and don't give up. Thomas Edison failed once, twice, more than thrice before he came up with his invention and perfected the incandescent light bulb. Make motivation as your steering wheel. Expect things to stumble down but also believe that downfalls are not always the end of a story. Despite all the odds, hold on to your motivation to continue the journey.

E. Enjoy. Motivation takes place when people are happy. Enjoy what you are doing and you will soon see the difference.

F. Family and Friends. Value them for they are life's greatest treasures.

G. Give more than what is enough. Do not just settle for anything less. Give more if you know you still have the capability to do so.

H. Hang on to your dreams. Never take your eyes off that dream for they will be your driving force to keep going.

I. Ignore those who try to destroy you. Don't let other people to get the best of you. There will always be someone out there who would pout on your success but bear in mind that there are also those who are willing to extend their support for you to become more successful.

J. Just be yourself. The key to success is to be yourself and the key to failure is to try to please everyone.
K. Keep trying no matter how hard life may seem. Hold on to your motivation and never give up no matter how high your mountains are.

L. Learn to love yourself. You need to love yourself before you can genuinely love other people. Remember, you cannot give to others what you do not possess within yourself.

M. Make things happen. Don't just talk about it, act on it!

N. Never lie, cheat or steal. Always play a fair game. It does counts.

O. Open your eyes. People should learn the horse attitude and horse sense. They see things in 2 ways - how they want things to be, and how they should be.

P. Practice makes perfect. Practice is about motivation. It lets us learn repertoire and ways on how can we recover from our mistakes, so extend your patience and continue to practice until you'll reach the stage of perfection.

Q. Quitters never win. And winners never quit. So, choose your fate - are you going to be a quitter or a winner?

R. Ready yourself. Motivation is also about preparation. We must hear the little voice within us telling us to get started before others will get on their feet and try to push us around. Remember, life is just full of surprises!

S. Stop procrastinating!

T. Take control of your life. Exercise discipline and control in your life rather then automatically submitting yourself to your impulses.

U. Understand others. Take time to listen rather than talking the whole time. It's the most effective way to be able to understand others. Yearn to understand first, and to be understood the second.

V. Visualize it. Motivation without vision is like a boat on a dry land.

W. Want it more than anything. Dreaming means believing and to believe is something that is rooted out from the roots of motivation and self-improvement.

X. X Factor is what will make you different from the others. When you
are motivated, you tend to put on "extras" on your life like which will help identify the line of difference.

Y. You are unique. No one in this world looks, acts, or talks like you. Value your life and existence. You only get the chance to live once so make the most of it by utilizing all your gifts for a purpose.
