Hey everyone its J. here again with some positive reinforcement!

While I was a reading an AMAZING BOOK, called the "Superstar Sales Secrets", authored by Barry Farber

I realized something...

I came across a chapter and I couldn't help but make a post about how important having a positive attitude is.

When it comes down to it, the attitude you have will DEFINITELY determine almost ALL your results and ultimately your Success.

I really hope you enjoy it. I also really appreciate and value your support and feedback! Whether you like it or not .



Eight aspects of Mastering A Positive Attitude

Enthusiasm

This is where your energy will come from, have you ever seen how much someone gets done when they are enthusiastic about what there doing? It makes a HUGE difference and should be the root of your daily routine. Your enthusiasm will rub off on your friends, teammates, prospects and your followers, it will lift them up when most people bring others down.

Focus on the Positive

When it comes down to it, bad things happen during the day... There is nothing we can do to stop that accept realize how much more we can get done when we think about the postitive aspects of our day. Just keep on going, dwell on the positive not the negative.

Positive Professional Pride

You need to have pride in what your doing, if your selling something you feel uncomfortable with... Then It's definitely not going to work as well as it could. Take pride in your product and service, be motivated in making sure you can meet your customers needs. This will make you much more positive when conducting your business. Refer to yourself as a 'Sales Professional', rather than just a 'Salesman'

Professional Investment

Investing your time, energy and enthusiasm to master our skill sets you got to have something at stake. Whether its your self esteem, your reputation, the money, or the well being of your family. What is it that is important to you, and why is it that you are doing what your doing in the first place. By doing this you begin to feel accomplished when you reach your goals. Whatever that goal may be, financial, admiration of peers, helping your customers... That is up to you.

Investing In Yourself

Always continue to upgrade your product knowledge and sales skills. The top sales people take advantage of every opportunity that arises. They also continue to learn new skills and try to understand their customers better every day. Not to mention they listen to tape, read books and test the psychology within sales techniques. Just remember, the greatest investment of all is that which you put into yourself.

Persistence

First off, don't expect this type of success to come without extreme persistence, dedication and action. The best way to keep yourself going and feeling good about everything you do.... to stay positive. Without persistence nothing ever got done to the fullest potential that it should have. Look at that Great Wall of China as an example. Lmao.

Keep your success Tracked

When things get tough, have yourself something you can track your accomplishments with. Your goals, achievements or anything that can help you focus on the positive as things feel they are getting tough.

Learn from failure

Don't get stressed out when you fail to do something. I think this is the most important key. Failure is a daily reality when your in this profession. Have the courage to learn from mistakes, its not a failure if you discover the lessons.

Practice and Achieve

When you wake up

Do something that is going to start your day off right. Go make some breakfast, do a small workout to get your blood flowing and your creative juices pumping. Write out a daily action plan of what you need to get done and do it. Have some positive reinforcement by listening to your greatest motivator speak. Whatever it is, start your day off right and the rest of that great day will follow.

Visual Confirmation

Encourage yourself to stay positive by putting a picture of something that brings you up, on your bathroom mirror, on your bedroom wall... On your computer desktop, whatever it is, but whenever you see this it will reinforce your attitude. If you wan't get a model of your favorite car, and put it on your desk as a reminder that if you stay positive and keep going, one day you will own that car.

Avoid negative attitudes and people

This is another big one, people will always bring you down. Why? Because they are either ignorant, and don't understand the true value and potential that going after your dreams actually has. They will tell you your full of it, that you can't do it, almost convincing you to the point that its not possible. When you surround yourself with people doing the same thing, your chances of having a positive day and work ethic are much higher! I promise! I had to rid the naysayers out of my life and now I'm doing great.

Positive Physical Approach

Start a workout routine, a healthy body ensures a healthy mind... Which also ensures healthy activity and creative work. By ridding your body of all the crap (Something I Have yet to accomplish) quit smoking, eating fatty foots, drinking excessive amounts of caffeine and anything else you can think of... You'll begin to feel better, do better and be better allowing yourself to take your business to the next level!

Keep a diary of your daily positive activities

Write down everything on a daily basis that is positive, none of the negative things. Did you help somebody today, what is it that you finished as planned. Your goals, your achievements. Its a diary be creative but don't be negative.

Make everyone you meet glad they met you

When you talk to people, are you bringing them down? Making them think less of themselves? When you talk to people are you listening to what they have to say? Are you connecting with them? Have a positive attitude, and if someone is negative towards you... Simply quit talking to them! But the bottom line is, just be yourself, and be a good person. That will attract the right people too you.

Don't Believe In Overnight Success

Give it your 100% all the time

When you start taking your business seriously, and giving it your all... It will do nothing but give back, and make you feel accomplished as well as looking forward to starting the next day to see if you can achieve even more. Don't give 90%, don't give 80%, because when your doing that you can't allow yourself to grow and become better. 100% per day becomes 200% a month down the line of what it was a month before. Because you continue to grow, become smarter, more effective and get better. Don't say 'I'll do that tomorrow', when there is plenty of time left in the day to get it done.

Train you brain

Your brain is your control center. Don't train the brain, you don't enhance your game. By taking everything to the next level, including the way you use that head of yours... Everything will become more easy and you'll notice yourself completing tasks quicker and with much more ease as time goes on. Allowing you to produce more and become a more effective salesman, or whatever it is your doing!

Realize its not luck that makes you successful


IF you think people got successful because of luck... Okay maybe some people... But the reality is that you never see someone's road to success. You never see the failures, the hardships, the problems they ran into, the endless nights spent up trying to figure things out. You don't see all of this, you only see the end results. Understand that if SUCCESS is what you want, then you better understand its not the luck, its what you put into it that determines what you get back.



Make Sure You Surround Yourself Properly


Make careful choices of who you work with and follow

Who you work with, affiliate with, and who you have working for you is something that will definitely make an impact on how productive you are. Make sure that everyone your surrounding yourself on a daily basis is bringing you up, bringing each other up... Has good values, and morals and gives it their all just as you do. Because as you see them grow you will want to grow yourself!

Surround yourself with success

Basically, surround yourself with inspiring successful material, media, people, anything that was produced by a mentor or someone you look up to because of where their hard work got them. By doing this its almost a subconscious implementation of what your trying to achieve and eventually with enough positive reinforcement in this respect, you will begin to naturally and habitually work your best!

Keep your senses mind and heart open

Learn to listen, learn to help, learn to open your mind. Without listening what others may have to say... You might miss out on something very important, something that could have enlightened you, something that might make that light-bulb go off in your head and give you that major breakthrough. Your heart should be kept open because when you realize that helping others feels good, and that seeing someone else use the knowledge you provided them to leverage more results. You will automatically feel good knowing you can do that! Not to mention if more people helped people the world would be a better place!

Expose yourself to new challenging situations

Always challenge yourself, no matter what it is. Not using a new program because you 'Don't know how to use it'... The only way your going to learn is if you challenge yourself to figure it out, and once you do you'll realize that the next challenge becomes easier. Whether it is more difficult or not! Because whats the key? The POSITIVE ATTITUDE.

Visualize yourself as the greatest Mentor

YOU are your greatest mentor, YOU make your decisions, YOU impact your daily routine, YOU are your motivator, YOU are creating YOUR Success. The thing about having a mentor, is that it allows you to unlock your potential to really just mentor yourself in the right direction!

Three quick points

Treat others the way you'd like to be treated

Practice your attitude adjustment over and over until you master it.

Track your steps forward as you achieve your accomplishments



Face Your Fears AND Failures

Use failure as a tool for learning

Success is your main revenge for your 'NaySayers'

Fear is just "False evidence appearing real"

Action and preparing destroys fear at its roots.

    Thanks for the motivation. One of my favorite things to do every day to get motivated is watch the Alec Baldwin scene from Glengarry Glen Ross. It's a real kick in the butt. Not so much positive, but definitely motivational!

    I sure agree with you about a positive attitude. A person can accomplish many things with a negative attitude and be a bit more miserable. It is better to be successful with a positive attitude and then most everything "tastes better". Logically, why would anyone want to go thru life with a "bitter taste in their mouth"

      Thanks guys for the positive feedback.
      I really think the best place to start when you get into any type of business or work is by having a positive attitude. It works wonders, even for your health!

      I remember when I was being so negative it literally made me sick... To the point of actually growing bumps in my body. Negativity is usually putting you at a dis-ease, which spells disease... I think to stay positive can possibly cure illnesses too, right at its core .

      Just a thought though right haha! Because ever since treating my attitude better, I've done nothing but get healthier, even though I do the same unhealthy things lol.

    It's also important to know when to pass up an opportunity. Sometimes a good deal will come your way, but if it's not right for you or your customers, you will need to turn it down.       You are very right! I completely understand that for sure, considering I feel uncomfortable selling certain things. Unless I fully use and understand a certain product/service I really don't like promoting it at all. I guess by that statement it means a positive opportunity .
