    1. Write down all of your ideas.
    2. Number them from the most important to the least important.
    3. If there are more than 1 which are equally important, order them by how much you want to do them (more = first, don't want to = last)
    4. Start with the top list item and don't stop until you've succeeded.
Every time you get a new idea, add it to the list based on these criteria.

And always keep reminding yourself that you can't start the next one until you've finished the one that you're currently on. You'll get to the other ones in time, and the effort that you've put into the ones that you've finished will only benefit the ones further down the list as you get to them.

I guess it is a nice problem to have. Not all people are that creative.

If I was you I would start a swipe file and put your ideas in it for future reference. Look at it once in awhile when you are bored counting all of your money you have made focusing on 1 thing.

I used to have the same problem. Like cajtrixie said list down, go with the highest priority and run with it, and don't move on to anything else until its done.

When I get an idea, even if its super awesome and better than my original idea, I send an email to an email address I set up just for my ideas.

For example myideas at gmail dot com.

This way I can think OK cool idea! I'll email it to my ideas email addy and check it when I've finished what I'm doing.

That was it's still there, but I can concentrate better on my current project.

Or write it down and put it somewhere, I'm just useless with bits of paper.

One thing that helps me stay focused is at the end of the day, after I have been thinking about what needs to be done and when am I going to do it, I write it down in my daytimer on my "to do list the next day" and then when I arise the next morning I can go to my list and begin without worry and distraction.I then start at the #1 thing and just work my way down the list.(I do not bounce all around the list because I have already determined the priority and will not go to #2 until #1 is completed to my satisfaction. There is no perfection but this helps me to stay on task.

This is called "shiny object syndrome," and it is an epidemic among entrepreneurial types.

While I am a victim like you, I find allowing myself one burst of 3 or so hours writing up and fleshing out the idea is usually sufficient to either kill it (as not feasible at this time) or to get it out of my head, setting it aside for future consideration.

Without that initial focus, it lingers in my head, keeping me from getting higher priorities done

Its a reward. You get more of a reward for starting something, than from finishing something. Its like buying one weight loss solution after another, rather than simply eating less and exercising more.

its a simple thing, and sometimes hard to implement. You have experienced success with starting things, you know how to do that and you like the feeling you get when you begin a new project.

You need to join that feeling of success with the idea that you can get more of it by following through.

As a starter, since you have not followed through on things, then that would be a new experience for you, and as a new experience, following through can bring you the feeling you are searching for.

This is a terrible problem for me too.
For example, I've spent the last 2 months building a site and paid $400 for content/SEO and already bored and ready to move onto something else.
I get more of a rush from researching and finding new niches than I do from actually making money. It's pretty bad and hopefully I can figure out a way to focus on just one thing.

wake up in the morning .and fry a couple of the pricey eggs up for breakfast ..and eat them .. now relax for a bit and then write down what you can do tomorrow to make the eggs tastier or healthier ..what herbs and spices would appeal to you .

when you see a process or an item .. or something that can be improved .. write down the
    ideas to improve it

    • The pleasure of the mind is to wander. It loves to wonder. You have an issue with your wandering mind.

Once this is discovered about the only thing that can be done without forcing fate is to watch the problem, the challenge, the issue that keeps tripping you up. Once you see the mechanics of what is being done in your name, you will automatically dissolve those behaviors (over time) and bring yourself back into acute focus and responsive productivity. Again, patience and studied attention. Patience and self-observation. Keep yourself out of it as much as you can in this process. Let it happen as you watch. This is paramount!

You know ultimately it is success you desire. You just don't know how that is going to show up. Let it be-come. I don't know what it will look like for you either, but just let it move you forward. Patience. Remind yourself.
