the 200 year outlook
100 years ago the average lifespan got people into the mid 40's at best ..for much of history you where old if you lived past 33 ...with periods where the lifespan was in the 20's .
in a very short time the lifespan has doubled and more for many and that is with ending famine for many and better hygien and a long war on pathogens .
here are facts..if you avoid the standard american diet full of processed foods , high amount of salt fat and sugars from unhealthy sources . and eat a mostly plant based diet with small amounts of meat ..and do work that requires you to move . you can easily stay very healthy until you are in your 80's .
and we are in the dark ages of medicine that ignores the bodies natural healing abilities and we live in a world 750000 time more toxic than any generation before ..more of us are just living longer to catch the diseases .
besides a wider amount of knowledge for those who want to eat to be healthy today and in the future and more quality food becoming available ..we are going to see a big push and big breakthroughs in the next 10-20 years that unlock life extension and take away the growing old and withering from the aging process .
so lets say the life spans doubles and more in the next hundred years ..so the possibility is there for many on this board who are under 40 to live into their mid to late hundreds .
so.. how would you change the way you live now ..if the prospect was there for you to live and stay healthy and vital as you "get old" and you avoid the decaying of getting old .
take retirement out of the picture so you will nearly always be able to be productive and earn money ..
now if you are on this board you are probably chipping away at that money part .
personally this was put in my mind in February..and up to that point i had spent my life before that ignoring and abusing my body ..but sense treating it like i want it to last..i have regenerated 99 percent of the damage to my body ..and nearly completely eliminated my back pain..at this point there is stiffness but little pain .
mentally ..oh boy ..there is a lot of stuff i was coping with ..that a had to address head on because there is a lot you will not put up with ..if the thought it mat stiil be there for a hundred years or get in the way of getting to that hundred plus .
it has been a huge factor in getting me to focus and outline and detail my goals ..
life is to long to live without spending every day either getting the most out of life or getting away from the things that prevent you from getting the most out of it.
