I have some questions about the law of attraction?

ok with the law of attraction you help?
does the law of attraction work on simply impossible things and succeed? what I am saying is not really like changing your current situation, your lifestyle, personality of a person, organization, or habit and thoughts?
Do you have stories to share on this issue?
no "miracles" happen because of this?
so eager help, will not people just what they want to be and the world as a better place?
please tell me what you know or want to share about it. I am very interested to hear.

and I really believe in it, it sounds scientific to me.

I believe Law of Attraction is real and it exists as well. I also believe that it is a little bit more complex than what the movie "The Secret" or a lot of these books try to portray it as.

I think that everyone is dictating the world as it is together, which is why you cant just make everything you dream up of come true. Miracles do happen. But it takes so much more than just positive thinking to get you there. I see evidence of LOA almost every single day. I see it in my life and I see it in others lives as well. If you look at all the worlds major religions you can see some form of it.

Essentially from what I have been able to take from it is that it is always based around faith. Unwavering and unrelenting faith. The belief that pushes passed even when everyone else does not believe.

There is a catch though. You have two parts to the brain, the conscious mind and the subconscious mind. You can control what you believe with your conscious mind but your subconscious mind is so much more difficult to control. This is not something you can trick or fool.

At first it may seem interesting and easy. Just focus on what you want, visualize it and eventually you will have it, but what I have come to realize is that this maybe counter-productive.

Have you ever noticed that someone who is poor and yet they are always focused on money? They are always finding reasons to bring it up. They talk about their lack of it and their ways of saving and making it. Do you realize that money has no real value? That it is what is known as fiat currency. That means it has no real value. It is just paper or plastic or cotton or whatever the actual bill is made out of. People who just focus on money tend to not have it or lose it because they are placing the focus on the wrong thing. Instead of putting it on money they should place it on value.

This is so much more intricate then just thinking of a pile of money or a car. This takes a much deeper understand of the world and life in order to implement.

To believe something truly you dont need to focus all your attention to it. You dont need to keep bringing it up. To do that deep down says that you dont believe.

Did you know that there is a device that doctors can use to measure your brain waves without actually putting it on your head? This proves that your brain does in fact send out certain frequencies.

LOA is a reality, it exists whether people want to believe it or not, but a proper understanding of it comes before you could ever try and use it. Dont get caught up on what a specific person says about it. Dont just read one book. Read and watch all that you can get your hands on about it. Just be careful though many have taken it and have distorted it to try and make it seem just like many of these WSO's, like it is some kind of push button software. Just pull this lever and all your dreams come true... now buy my book which explains how to do it. It actually takes a lot of work and dedication to get it going right.

There is plenty of information out there for free on it, but as with anything in order to be successful with it you need to put in work and dedicate yourself not just to implementing it but understanding it.

There's a thread here by Jenny who has shared a good book on LOA. Check it out here:

      http://www.warriorforum.com/mind-war...-book-loa.html

The book is called The Law of Attraction Made Simple - Magnetize Your Heartfelt Desires by Jonathan Manske. I've just ordered it on Kindle, not read it yet.

Perhaps you could check it out.

Yes, LOA is real. But intelligent effort (without self-sabotage) is what is critically important.

      Best,

Yes, I have experienced it. It worked for me because I followed the text portion in the book "The Secret" that said something along the lines of "act as if you are already successful and already have everything in your life that you want". The result was that my daily actions changed and were geared towards a positive and results driven day which in turn then produced the results that I needed to get to where I wanted to be. Within 1 year, I had everything and the lifestyle that I had on my vision board.

You cannot force it to happen. You cannot just say " I am Rich, I am Rich, " and then look at your bank account and you have no money. Then you are just lying to yourself.

You attract and become what you think about all day long.

Just look at your life up to now and tell me that you are not where you are because of the thoughts in your mind.

You want the law of attraction to work for you?

Then you must first change what you think about.

Find your passion. What is that one thing that you absolutely love to do?

Then go and do it. And do it with the absolute faith that you are going to get it and watch the dream manifest itself.

Luck & Miracle are words that people use for that which they cannot explain.

The Law of attraction is exactly that "A Law" it works for each and every one of us.

A list of people that in my opinion that can help you understand this.

1- Anything "Bob Proctor" and his Law Of Attraction Programs

2- "Richard Luck" and his "LIfe Transformationz Coaching Program"

3-"Joe Vitale" has multiple programs on Law Of Attraction

Your mind is like fertile soil. Anything you plant in it, and nurture, will grow.
This is how the Law works. The more care you put into it the bigger and better it will manifest.

        Hope this helps.

now i am restarting with nothing as i have lost everything in the last few years ..but it was everything i had from a life i didn't really want ..so now i am trying to focus on what i really want to do .. and build a life around that ..

The law of attraction is not a set of rules about how to get stuff, it is a description of how the Universe works. Like the law of gravity is a written description of how objects with mass are attracted to each other.

It isn't that the law doesn't work, it works just fine, most times, though, we spend more time thinking about bad things we don't want rather than the good things we do want. And we wind up with lives full of things we were afraid we were going to get, instead of the results of our positive dreams. Because we spend so much time worrying about stuff we don't want.

The law of attraction always works. It brings you what you are a vibrational match to.

Everything is energy. Everything vibrates. You can think about a subject and be thinking about the lack of something desired and the Law brings you more lack. If you are thinking about the subject with appreciation for what you have, it brings you more to appreciate.

Your emotional state is very important.

In fact, your emotions are guidance.

I'll share a bit about my background. Almost 20 years ago, a Psychiatrist told me (after I relayed my history to him) "People like you do not put themselves through college and graduate with honors, they are not good mothers and they do not have successful careers. They live in boxes under bridges. How have you done it?"

At the time I had no clue how. Now I understand it fully. At the time I had no idea that I was more resilient than most, or why, now I understand it fully. I was intrigued by the question he asked and began researching. It did not make sense that I would manage better than another, I knew I was not better than anyone else (or worse) so why had I done so much better?

About eight years ago my path led me to Law of Attraction, through several teachers that gave parts of the answer but it was not until I found Abraham (Abraham-Hicks) that I began understanding the big picture fully. About three years after beginning to devour Abraham's teachings my life was exceeding my wildest dreams of just a few years prior. It is now exceeding my wildest dreams of that time (in essence, doubled twice on dreams manifested).

I have read all their books (and many others) on the subject. I have also listened to hundreds of hours of their recordings (and recordings from other teachers). I have been on seven of their seminar cruises and been to many of their seminars around the country.

About four years ago, I took my research further. I live in the Bible belt and many people are not open to information from Abraham. I researched what I believe are the six most common religions and found LoA at the basis of all of them. I was published in a peer reviewed textbook on resilience earlier this year and cited those findings.

I also began exploring the science behind human thriving and have found a solid scientific basis for everything Abraham teaches.

The key is understanding that you have guidance and learning to understand the messages. We are taught to misinterpret the messages by those who were here before us and were themselves taught to misinterpret the messages from their guidance. Blaming them for the false premises is pointless and actually counter productive. Best to just understand the messages and move forward from there.

I won't post a link here but there is a Forum where many success stories are posted by those who are learning Abraham's teachings. Every area of life, relationships, healings (health), at least one lottery winner, and much more. Most importantly, however, is the increased happiness which is in itself the manifestation we all seek. It is the reason we want whatever we want and the reason we do not want that which we do not want.

Even the path to peace and solutions to all the world's social issues can be found through a complete understanding of the Law of Attraction.

When I first started reading personal development books, I too learned about the law of attraction. Yes it is a law that will attract everything that you are 'being' into your illusive reality.

But you can not force it into being so that you can begin to attract wealth into your life.

The more that I read, the more info comes into my hands telling me stuff like we are all part of 'one' soul - Collectively making up the son of God.

Wayne Dyer says it best- "Free Will is Paradoxical", at any given moment of 'time', you can choose to align yourself with Spirit (higher mind) or not (choose to EGO instead).

Now some others are trying to take out 'EGO' altogether.

Ego does it's job to focus us in a physical reality. If we take it out, we go back to 'oneness' (one spirit) and have no experience here on earth.

They say that the true 'miracle' is a 'shift' in perception.

So if you want to change your circumstances in life, for me personally - the only way was through 'Acceptance'.

To accept my circumstances for what they are and admit that right now I can not do anything to change them.

I don't mean to not do anything.

Action is always going to be needed but 'inspired' actions are the only actions that will get you anywhere.

'Inspired' actions are known as 'Intuition' where the 'higher' 'whole' mind (who has all knowledge) gives you some info or a gut feeling to do something.

Now as for the law of attraction - You can have calm skies or stormy skies in your horizon depending on what part of the mind you are choosing to 'perceive' your story - From Spirit (whole mind, higher mind, higher self, voice of God) or Ego (false sense of 'identity', part of the mind choosing separation ETC).

Think of your thoughts as a magnet. You attract what you focus on.

I've heard this story from a psychologist that there was a case study of this "law of attraction". Random people were asked to go to a bar and all of them will pass the same street. Without them knowing it, the people who ran this experiment placed a hundred dollar bill at one dimmer corner of the street.

Guess what? Others found the hundred dollar bill and others didn't. The surprising thing is, before this experiment was conducted, the participants were asked if they felt that they are "lucky" in life. Sure enough, those who believed that they are lucky are those who found the hundred dollar bill.

I'm not sure if there is truth in the above experiment but base on my personal experience, the law of attractions works!

Here are actionable steps that you can do to make it work for you.
        1. Start your day with a renewed sense of focus and desire to succeed. Right after you wake, spend a good minute or two to imagine your dreams and goals. See yourself "becoming it", having achieved your goals. Feel how it would feel like being successful. Hear what people would say to you. Just let these feelings grow. Then before you get out of bed, tell yourself and believe it that "today is going to be a good day!".
        2. Do this before you sleep. End your day knowing that it's done. You may or may have not done everything to achieve your goals today. If you have, pat yourself on the back. You did a good job. If you haven't, it's alright. Realize that you're not perfect. People fall off their workout routines, fail exams, make bad decisions. It happens. What's done is done. The best thing you can do is to learn the lessons of the past and look forward to the things that you can do the next day. For now, tell your body to rest well, for tomorrow will be a good day.

I'll be the first one to tell you that this sounds stupid, but for some strange reason it works. Since I started doing it more and more opportunities are making themselves available to me that were really all there all along but I failed to see them before.

It takes 21 days to make a habit. Give this a go. Do it for the next 21 days, then habit will take over and it will become automatic to you.

Realize this. If you choose to see the good things in life you will find them. If you choose to see the bad things in life, I don't even think I need to finish this sentence

    Hi Guys,

The LOA is ALWAYS working. Look around. You get what you feel, but the issue is that this feeling is on an unconscious or subconscious level.

Do things like meditating to become aware of your unconscious thoughts. Truth serum will flow out, and you might feel miserable at times, but releasing these low energies helps you to do things like expressing gratitude, and dancing, and feeling amazing, which attracts to you the ideas, people and circumstances to rock it out in your life.

Buy in. It works well. I have met my fiancee using the LOA and have traveled the world for 33 months running by meditating, visualizing, affirming and most of all, manually overriding my feelings, high vibing it and then releasing my intent to the Universe....and of course getting to work and acting inspired.

I mean look at my avatar; painting a 400 pound tiger....are you serious? I was a fired pier guard 5 years ago with ZERO online business knowledge. I worked, but more than working, I changed my inner world through serious mental discipline, to raise my vibe throughout the day.

Thanks for asking the question buddy!

Dont fall into the trap of believing that you can just believe/think about something and it will come to you; The most important thing in getting what you want is action, and without it, all the believing in the world wont help you.

Instead of learning about the law of attraction, learn about discipline. That will take you much further.

I think the law of attraction only works if you take action towards the thing you want. Just thinking about something won't make it happen but taking action with the right attitude is more likely to get you what you want. I think mental rehearsal of actions to take is probably more effective than just imagining the end goal.

    Todd,
You'll love Abe, as Ryan said.

Ryan, I am not surprised you know Abe. I saw your "I'm back post" and wondered if you knew Abe because the life you described living sounded like something someone who knew the teachings could do with the level of confidence you radiate. Will you be in the Canary Islands in Sept?

It is true that just thinking or wishing for something does not make it happen. But someone can work as hard as they want toward a goal that they don't think they are worthy of achieving, or they don't think they deserve, or they don't believe happens to people like them, or that they don't think is possible and they are spinning their wheels. But get their head right and far less effort will produce greater results.

Our brains do not show us reality. When it comes to opportunities, when we expect them the filters in our brain pass them to our conscious mind. When we don't expect them, other information, consistent with our expectations is passed to our conscious minds. When you understand LoA, you have everything you need to set your filters to maximize your results.

Henry Ford summed it up well, "If you believe you can or you believe you can't, either way you're right."

Effort with aligned thought is the most effective way to make tremendous progress.

If you look at this world it becomes very clear that effort does not equate to results. There is not enough efforting in the world to account for success like Trump's and he probably does not work as hard as some ditch diggers. Like him or hate him, you have to admit that Trump is aligned with wealth.

You can also look at people like Trump and Tiger and see that when they do something that may temporarily make them feel less good about themselves, their fortunes take a downturn but then they rebound because their set point is at a high level of success and unless we deliberately shift our set point, we return to equilibrium at that set point after it goes up or down.

That is why psychologists find that people who win the lottery and people who become quadriplegics' return to their former level of life satisfaction after about two years. The same is true with marriage. For many it makes them happier for about two years and then they return to their pre-marital level.

Our inner life is reflected in our outer life. Our definition of self defines our results. Most of us are taught we have to earn things and spend many years, without a clear definition of what "earn the right" means or a clear way to determine when we have done so. But when we decide we are worth something --whether it is a nicer home, a promotion, more money, more leisure, more love, anything--it comes easily.

I can look at my life and easily see the correlation between believing I deserved to be a Vice President and becoming one, believing I deserved a nice home on a golf course and manifesting one including the extra $80,000 I needed for the down in the five months it took to finish building the house once I signed the contract for it. I actually had an 6k more than the 80k I needed to come up with. Then, when I was laid off after deciding I was worth 64k a year more than I was making and did not even look for a job and received a call from a friend of my former boss who wanted to interview me for a job and ended up hiring me (after we negotiated back and forth) for exactly the amount I had decided I was worth. Or the three of us, years before, me and two friends, who had decided we were worth six figures. One said "I want to make six figures" one said "I want to make more than six figures" and one said an exact amount". At the time of the conversation one made 37k, one 57, and one 75k. Within 12 months all had reached the stated goal. Five years later the one who decided she was worth 100k was still making exactly 100k. The one who said "More than" had made over 250 some years (she had begun at the lowest salary) and the one who had set a specific number had received raises because she continued to adjust what she believed she was worth.

Define yourself as who you want to be and become it. Oh, when I interviewed for the 64% raise job I told the interviewer, "I am not going to work really long hours. If there is a special project I will but not routinely." Before that job I had often worked 7 days a week and 14 hour days were not unusual. I was exempt so there was no OT pay. In the new role, I worked less than I ever had and was appreciated more because I believed I deserved it. I had finally overcome the "You have to earn it" mentality I was raised with. It's not like a college diploma where someone says "Once you've done this, you've earned this." I had no way to measure when I had finally "earned what I was after." But as soon as I decided I had met that criteria it all began coming to me easily and continues to do so.

Inspired effort, aligned effort is far more effective than just action.

For me, what works is the Law of Resonance more than LOA.

If I hold a complete, relaxed, unwavering conviction (not tense or uptight) that a particular thing or situation is real for me and BEHAVE accordingly, it invariably manifests, because the vibration of its presence surrounds me.

That is how I have manifested money and other things in my life - in fact, have a wso running on it.

But I would suggest that instead of trying to manifest money, which is a huge emotionally loaded issue when there is lack of it, practise for a few days on smaller things like always finding parking space or the one special thing you want in the mall. As you gain confidence, move on to larger and larger amounts of money.

    Good luck!

The Law of Attraction is definitely real. But the problem is that a lot of people attempt to manifest things but aren't willing to do the work. Either that, or they aren't paying attention when events appear in their lives that will take them one step nearer the attainment of their goal. When things begin to manifest as a result of what you've vibrated through your thoughts, I'm gonna be real with you --- it's hard work getting there. There isn't gonna be a situation in which you think about a thing, then it shows up gift-wrapped. No....obstacles will appear, things are going to look uncertain, etc., almost to the point where you feel like quitting...which is what most people do. But those who rough it out and continue to work hard despite the setbacks will win the race. THAT is the part of the story that isn't being told about The Law of Attraction. Manifesting things is not a cake-walk, nor will things happen in an obvious, easy manner. You'll face more obstacles than anything.

      I have to disagree.

I was in my backyard doing some weeding when I met my fiancee over three years ago. I took no action other than aligning my thought with what was desired in that department instead of what was not desired. I was muddy, wore no make-up, and had not even combed my hair. In fact, my braid was tucked in my pants pocket to keep it out of the mud.

A friend of mine's husband noticed me in the backyard when his ball landed near the back of my yard (I live on a golf course.) He called me over and said he wanted to introduce me to his golf partner.

Everything about the relationship was better than anything I had ever hoped for right from the beginning and continues to delight me in new ways on a frequent basis.

Likewise, when I was laid off in '06 and decided to begin my own business--I had no fear of unemployment, was excited about what was coming, I received a call from a neighbor of my former boss who was looking for someone like me, I did not even return the first call because the former boss was a bit less than honest and I thought they were friends. The 2nd time the man called I answered the call and learned they were neighbors so I gave him the benefit of the doubt. Interviewed the next a.m., interviewed with the Board two days later, and was hired at 64% over my prior salary the next day.

Did I work hard to be prepared for the opportunity when it came? Definitely. But the opportunity came because of my excited state of expectation. In fact, when we were negotiating for salary he tried to undercut me, stating I was soon to be unemployed due to the lay-off and I immediately countered that he was under a false assumption. I had already obtained my business license and he was competing with self-employment in a business I was excited about. I would not have done nearly so well in the negotiation if I had bought into his belief that I was looking at a lack of income. I had full faith that my income would go up, not down as a result of the lay-off. It always did.

I did some research when that same company was closed down in 2011. 11 employees, four making over six figures. I rated the employees based on optimism to fear and tracked who found a position 1st, 2nd,3rd, etc. The generally accepted idea is that higher salaries take longer to find jobs but the four above six figures were all employed in the first 90 days (I only took 30 hours and again, it was an unsolicited offer.) The most fearful was the lowest paid (a college graduate) and she took 9 months. Emotional stance matters in all we do. I've even seen news reports of some long time unemployed individuals receiving a class to help them feel better and suddenly finding work.

If they just skip all the drama, trauma, and fear it won't take so long.

.....but you still had to do the work in order to receive what you were desiring. You actually made my point. At first, you were laid off, which could be very discouraging and make you question things but ultimately, it set you up to go into business for yourself. That's what I meant by obstacles will usually appear before things begin to go as expected.

I have to agree with young financier I know that many times in my life I was on the right track and then just disappointments and obstacles came in front of me and I began to think negative thoughts and thus the vibration disappeared.

That is the case with 95% of society they let obstacles determine and dictate the direction they are going to go.

I am actually in that position myself I am a complete optimistic total believer of the law of attraction yet the people around me, my wife included my children my coworkers are all just sheep going in one direction with no clue as to why they do what they do.

I have tried many times to express my beliefs and I get looked at like I'm an alien. Napoleon Hill called it environmental influence and he was right, the people around you and in your lives dictate how you think and where you're going to go if you allow that.

To me these are just obstacles that I have to overcome I must do whatever it takes to keep my eyes focused on the big picture.

I would love to hear if anyone else is in that position and what you do to overcome that obstacle.

I went through that as well when I first began studying the Law of Attraction and self-help material altogether. It took me a while but ultimately, I learned to keep my mouth shut about it. I would find myself having to explains to others and in some cases, having to defend myself. It wasn't worth it, so I stopped talking about it. Now those who were cynical towards me wonder why I'm moving up and they're stuck in a place of stagnation.

I did not feel discouraged when I was laid off. I had developed practiced beliefs that serve me well such as "things always work out well for me" and "what looks like a wrong turn always works out better than the original plan" and "my company is not my job security, my skills and knowledge are my security" and "every time I get laid off I get a better job for more money and a nice severance package." My beliefs are so established that the Universe cannot deliver less to me. I felt excited expectation, not discouragement and I did not question that my "luck" might have changed. I do not believe in luck. I believe in alignment.

Understand that these practiced beliefs are strong. Situations do not unseat my belief It was my equanimity and continued positive attitude about the company laying me off in 2010 that resulted in my being offered a position within 30 hours of the lay-off announcement. The President of the bank remarked several times on my helpful attitude, lack of resentment, etc. I did not tell him "I know this is going to work out better for me than if it had not happened" because he would have been more confused but that was what I knew.

It takes practice and an understanding of the laws of the universe to maintain when most of the people around you are feeling fearful but we are capable of getting to that point. When we do, good things come far quicker and easier.

Most would have seen the situation as a down before an up. I saw it as a stepping stone to better. It was not a down to me. In fact, in 2010 I was scheduled to go to Australia and New Zealand for almost a month at the end of the year but was in a situation where I could have cancelled the trip with little penalty, had another trip to Arizona planned two weeks after I returned from down under, and a Panama Canal cruise a month later that I could have cancelled. I still had sizable funds to pay toward the trips. Several of my co-workers mentioned "You're probably going to have to cancel your trips now, aren't you?" (Some of them with some joy about it because I had been going on a lot of amazing trips) and my response was "Why would I do that?"
At no time did I consider moving to a "safer" position. In fact, my view is and was that such an action would have said to the Universe, "I am expecting less economic abundance" and the Universe would have promptly provided my expectation. Going on those trips was an affirmation that things always work out well for me. And they do.

My Dad has come up with a saying that makes me laugh but it is true. He says, "You could fall in an outhouse and you'd find diamonds." That is how my life goes.

Positive thinking and visualization is great, but without ACTION, it is worthless. You must be active and take action in pursuit of your goals.

I find the LOA is shortchanging people into thinking they just need to do the easy part of thinking/wishing/visualizing. Without emphasizing taking action.

The work I did to get the job was not look for a job. It was stay in a state of alignment with career and financial success.

The call came to me, unsolicited. My former boss, the one who laid me off told his neighbor I was available and gave him my number. I took NO ACTION and in fact avoided the first call and did not return his voice mail. He called a second time. It was my alignment and continued confidence that brought that about. It was not my actions. If I had been afraid (which would have been easy- I had two kids in private school, a 6,000 square foot home on a golf course and was a single parent. But I held my positive expectation constant.

Likewise, with my fiance. I took NO ACTION to bring him into my life. I was in my own yard weeding and not dressed to impress one bit yet I also had focused exclusively on appreciating the positive aspects of my prior relationships and relationships I saw around me. I was in a state of appreciation about how good relationships could be and how many wonderful people populate this world. I was not taking any actions whatsoever to bring a gentleman into my life. I had not asked friends for introductions, I was not on any dating sites and was really focused on my personal goals, spiritual growth, and my daughters.

The work I did was alignment of thoughts with the world I want to inhabit.

When your vibration is such that you expect good things to happen they do. I've seen it work well in areas where I worked very hard and I've seen it work well in areas where I put forth almost no effort. It works when my thoughts are in alignment. For many years I worked exceptionally hard--so hard I had another manager once come into my office and request that I not work so hard because I was making him look bad in comparison. I did not see him as competition. I had simply been taught to work hard so I did.

Once I began understanding alignment I did not have to work nearly as hard to get the results I desired and the results I received were increasingly good.

I am not saying you can just sit and imagine a scenario and have it happen. Not at all. I am saying that when your beliefs, thoughts, words, and actions are in alignment your ability to create what is desired is far, far, far superior to action alone. Action with discordant thoughts is what leads to people caught in perpetual poverty and other undesired situations. Some of those people work exceptionally hard but they can't ever get ahead. If you delve into their beliefs, they believe they'll never get ahead. They talk about successful people as if they are "other" than they are. Increasingly I see an attitude that successful people are bad and somehow depriving others of their due. That attitude is very counter-productive.

Far better to notice when something goes right and use that to develop beliefs that serve you.

So yes, action is required. But inspired action is the type of action you want to take. Action for the sake of action may be counter productive. Imagine someone who is angry about something who acts out of anger. Anger does not generate inspired action. Often those actions lead to increasing problems. Words said we cannot withdraw. Fists used that lead to still more trouble. Action in alignment with goals and what is desired is where the fruit is found. Inspiration comes when you believe your goals are possible. It does not come when you do not believe you can achieve that which you desire.

    Young Financier,

You nailed it with that one. Just not talking about it unless someone is open is the key to not having to defend LoA.

It is a mistake almost every newbie makes--we get excited because the information resonates so deeply with us but we do not yet understand it well enough to explain it to someone else--especially someone who is not ready and it causes problems.

I did that with my parents when I first learned and quickly discovered it was pointless to try to help them with what I knew would work.

Now that they have seen my life improve year over year for a long time they are beginning to ask me what I'm doing. They would have asked much sooner if I had not tried when I was too new to answer their questions.

Todd, our brains sync to the dominant belief. Communicating with those who do not understand and aren't ready to listen is not productive, even if you're married to them. The best way to overcome environmental influence is to make your personal beliefs more dominant than their dominant beliefs. Do this in the privacy of your own mind. When someone in your life speaks in ways you do not want, say they say something like "In this economy it is hard to find a job, or get ahead, or make money or ???" In your own mind, change the statement to be more in alignment with the world you want. For example, I would change it to "Some people have trouble succeeding in this economic environment but they don't understand the laws of the universe the way I do. I won't have trouble. I know that in the best of times and in the worst of times there are always those who are thriving and those who are suffering. I understand that it is my thoughts that matter and as long as my expectation is positive the opportunities will come to me. I am not a sheep. I know the news is not attempting to inform me. Their job is to get ratings and the research has shown them that the more they frighten the audience the more they will watch. It is possible for me to thrive."

By the time you have that settled in your mind the other person has probably finished talking. You did not want to hear their negative fears anyway.

When you focus on taking care of your own vibration you will have far more to give your family. They can only hinder you if you allow it. I'm not saying it is easy. But you can do it. Making the decision to do it is the first step.

In most cases, people I know whose spouses were not on board initially eventually came on board. The evidence in the life of someone who is consciously seeking alignment is too vivid to ignore. Sometimes they drift out of the life but I believe in those cases it would have happened anyway.

For example, when I needed an extra 80k in five months to buy my house I told everyone I knew I was buying the house and no one that I was 80k short. A few boldly asked me how I could afford it and I simply said "I've been saving money for a long time." They do not need an explanation. If I had shared that i needed an extra 80k the lack of belief in my ability from those around me would have hindered my own belief that I could do it. Shutting up about it was the best plan. But feed the positive expectation, telling them I was doing it. Not "I might", not "I would like to", not "I hope to". I AM. That was the key.

It was easy and rather magical. Houses are the easiest thing for me to manifest for some reason so when I want to increase my income I think about a new home or a 2nd home. If I focus directly on the income without the why it is much more difficult for me.
