I just got a wake-up call from life

I'll make this one straightforward. This is intended to be a motivational post for warriors who also haven't succeeded online.

It's been ridiculously long since I last visited this forum, because I've been spending at least six hours a day everyday trying to earn my first dollar online.

For the entire month of October, I had to concentrate on other errands, so I've been trying to make this work for at least three months now. (August, September and November)

As for November, I fell victim to the shiny-object-syndrome (as most people liked to call it) and spent almost a hundred dollars making dumb purchases of get-rich-quick guides. Luckily, I got a wake-up call from life before I went too far.

It actually felt more like a punch rather than a call from life. My computer broke down. I had a friend come get it to have it fixed just two days ago.

I learned my lesson, and I'm still determined to make this thing work for me.

Just wait a bit longer, WF! I'll have my own success story in no time!

Wow. Looking at what I just wrote, I'm pretty sure this is the least motivating post in all of this forum.

You will do fine, we all have our unique journey to overcome. The point is not to kick the can, but to enjoy the journey!

Sorry but it's hard to follow what you're trying to convey.
So, are you saying it's a stroke of good fortune that your PC died because it stopped you from buying more useless products?

@salesgurus I guess that is what I was trying to say.

In case anyone is wondering, I'm posting this from my phone.

The first step toward making money is recognizing S-O-S and I don't mean the whatever on a shingle.

Next you might try Get Paul's Handy Little Guide to the Warrior Forum that's free.

Also You should join the WarRoom which costs just a little and will pay off big time.

You have just made your first step: acknowledging your mistakes. :-)
The next one should be making a new plan which needs to include researching, organizing, taking action.
I cannot wait to hear your success story ;-)

I think most people just need a push into the right direction instead of long guides to follow.

My pc broke down about 2 months ago (the cooling fan and power supply) and it took 3 days to get it fixed at the shop. But I came back stronger than ever, like Return of the Jedi !

Since most of my blogs are set up to auto-post, and auto-post to my Twitter accounts, Facebook, Linkedin, etc. and I have different lists set up on Aweber with messages set to go out every week, up to 1 year in advance, I was still making money.

Automation is important. Even if your pc breaks down (or you get sick) you will still be making money.

For example : 1 of my lists is for people who want to lose weight, so I send them tips about exercise, lists of healthy foods, and other helpful advice for them to lose weight. In some of those helpful messages, I put a link to an affiliate offer on Clickbank or Amazon (but not in every message I send).

Well, you should be spending 6 hours a day, everyday trying to provide value. Not your first dollar.

How does someone fall victim to voluntary purchases?

Becoming successful online isn't hard Norah. Just don't get caught up in all the nonsense that most people do like trying to acquire all the knowledge about this industry and how it works before they take any consistent action.

This is like trying to get all your ducks in line before you start becoming a producer.

Leaders and producers are the only ones who make money in this industry (5%)

The rest of the peeps in this industry are what you would call 'consumers'. They will buy everything out there just to hang out with the top 5%.

The only way to 'learn' in this industry is by 'Doing'.

You take 20% of your time learning and then spend 80% of your time 'applying' what you learned.

Producing is not listening to training calls or videos or webinars. That is consuming.

Producing is taking 'small' amounts of knowledge that you just learned and applying that to get you 'targeted' traffic, leads and sales.

The only thing that holds most people back is Intertia

Oh, stop calling yourself a 'Newbie'. Just as long as you believe that you are a Newbie, you can remain one for years.

Everyone is an 'Expert' in some area (yes you are an expert right now).
