Struggling with my new website

Hiya, (phew finally found the new thread button )

I've been trying out different things to make money online over last 18 months unsuccessfully, so I bought a website from Flippa a month ago which is a site selling bird feeders - the site was making on average £250 per month (around 100% mark up) but it came with no stock available only lists of stockists - long story short - I have bought a little stock with the little money I had left and listed my items along with some others who I can dropship from. However stock wasn't enough so I'm now using Amazon too. I have two questions:

1. The price of the amazon products, does that include shipping costs? In my checkout page the amazon product link takes the customer to their site for checkout so how can they know how much the shipping will be when they are on my site?

2. I haven't made a sale since taking the site over a month ago and I know this will be partly to with not having items listed properly on the site but if anyone could offer advice on how to increase traffic to my website so I can see that first (elusive it seems) sale  it would be greatly appreciated.

Many thanks

Hey I can't answer your first question but your second question on how to get more traffic find people in your market that have a mailing list and ask them if they will allow you to mail to their list and you will pay them known as buying a solo ad

Buying a solo ad is the fastest way to get traffic

Sounds like you jumped into this headfirst, lol
Amazon usually includes shipping costs, when you go to checkout it will show you the final cost. If you only have a few dollars to spend you could try your luck using Google Adsense to drive traffic to your website

@ Unpleasantry - You're right, I do tend to jump in with both feet Yes I can see now that Amazon adds shipping costs at their end however I would like customers to be able to calculate full costs from my website but I don't think that is going to be possible. I'm going to look at the Adsense approach thanks for the info.
