Friendly reminder to keep blood sugar stable...

Hey warriors,

Just a quick note to remind you on how stabilizing your blood sugar can be a vital element when attacking your online ventures.

It was only yesterday that I noticed INSANE brain fog, but instead of eating a small meal/ snack containing some healthy carbs, I battled through...

End result was an unproductive day. ( I went 7 hours without eating, which for me is unheard of! )

So just remember - taking a 5 minute break to correct blood sugars is quite ok and you are allowed to do just that!

Wishing you all the best on your online adventures,

Red

P.s I instantly felt my focus pin point back to the task at hand after ingesting a small portion of brown rice, some chicken and green beans.... and maybe a little chocolate too

Being diabetic I have to watch my sugars all the time. You should NEVER skip meals. If you're not very hungry, at least have a snack and drink plenty of water.

that is so true, I think carbs are best like potatoes or pasta but if you just don't have the time, a bowl of cereal works wonders especially with a cup of coffee!

Too much coffee is not good for you and too much potato is also not good for you.
The healthiest foods are leafy green vegetables. You can pile your plate with them.

I agree to both of your replies, however, I find there is a happy medium.

Yes, for the most part, leafy greens are the best option.

However, you cant beat a good ol' cereal binge to give you that instantaneous spike in insulin to bring you back up to normal levels. ( when in emergency situations - Light headed, brain fog, disorientated etc.. )

Either way, we get so consumed by the task at hand that we often forget about the vessel that is allowing us to live our lives and to do those tasks in the first place.
    ( our body )

I believe, the stronger the body and mind, the stronger ones success is...

    Anyone else agree?

how successful is somone who's health is a mess ..

right now my health is out of kilter because i am still in the north east Us and not in a tropical country ..being that i have live up here my entire life ..the last few years my body has been letting me know ...

even though i can walk around with just a teeshirt on when it is 32 degrees out and not be to uncomfortable ..i have developed issues with sweating .. so if i put a jacket on ..i sweat ..and artificial heat dries my body out ..in a way that water doesn't hydrate properly .

I have stuck around this year to take care of my parents but i am trying to get he money to get to the tropics ..can't handle the cold anymore .

  • Good timely advice. Many folks don't realize the importance of continuous intervals of good nutrition; not calories, Nutrition. Blood sugar levels can really mess up ones performance if not kept balanced.
