How Small Changes In Repetitive Actions Magnify Task Improvements

I have noticed lately when doing any number of repetitive tasks either in my business, around the house, out in the yard, working on the car, or even in outdoor building projects: small changes (noting results) in repetitive tasks lead to remarkable improvements in time and efficiency in the same job over the duration.

I have been foggily aware of this "action of intelligence" for most of my life, but it is only lately I can see, focus on and quantify the gains I realize in time and efficiency when tasked with repetitive jobs over a long period of time every time I practice this attitude of experimentation for gain.

Am I hitting on all eight cylinders here? Have other warriors fine tuned this incremental method of improvement in their lives? Let me know what you have learned about your own actions dealing with repetitive tasks. . . . After all this too is an experiment and I want to get some quantifiable results dog-gone-it.

    Hi,

Practice makes better. I apply this to my fitness, my blog posting skills, my commenting skills, my life.

Spot on observation. Do something frequently, hour by hour or day by day and that thing becomes easier and easier to do.

I struggled to write 1 post daily, or even weekly, 4 years ago. After 3,000 blog posts I publish 3-5 daily, no sweat. Practice

    Thanks for sharing!

Repetition is the key to developing good habits. When you focus on something every day , it will become more and more natural to you. The key here is to implement good habits EVERYDAY and not lose track.
